Registered at multiple addresses?!

Ok so both my bank accounts are registered to my parent's house because I have been at university and dithering about between flats in London,
I am having a credit check run on me in order to rent a property with my partner in Bristol.
I wasn't aware of this as have always gone through private landlords and my partner has only just told me, but won't they require my parent's address?
I don't fully understand.

They will require your current home address. The credit search will look at bank accounts, credit agreements etc in your name at that address, whether you are on the electoral roll there, whether you have county court judgements etc.
You can also give (and if you don't they may well find!) linked addresses like your parents.0
