Ive got a Garmin nuvi 200 and have bought SD micro card for City Navigator for North America. What do I do with it now - Ive put the sd card in the slot but it is not recognising america when I spell out the country. Do I have to be in america. I thought I would be able to programme in the destinations prior to us going over there.. Any help would be appreciated. I am a technophobe.

Someone more used to Garmin will advise Im sure but on TomTom you have to select the map in the software. So switch on the sat nav and there will probably be a map selector showing "UK Map" and "N America" for example.
I have to switch mine to N America maps when in the USA and UK maps for the uk
Hope this helps...0 -
I go on to the maps and select country but america or usa not recogised. Ive checked that it is compatible with my sat nav I will ring garmin tomorrow;..0
