I never thought there would be people who hate emptying caffetieres! To me, that's not even a chore! Probably because I love my ground coffee
So, I swirl the dregs with a drop of water (as I usually drain the pot completely dry) and then pour it onto the compost heap. My SO has said that our compost is 90% coffee, 10% everything else, and he wasn't really joking...
I hate dusting, so I never "do dusting". If I see something covered in a disgusting layer of dust, I go to the kitchen, get a rag, wipe the surface, and that's it. I find it much easier than going around the house with a dustrag and spray!
However, the chore I dread the most is mopping the tiled floor (kitchen and bathroom). Probably because I can't do it properly, I always seem to just wet the dirt and move it around, but not remove it although I rinse the mop. So what I do is - leave it for the OH!Cogito, ergo sum.0 -
I detest ironing, so much so that i now pay £20 every 2 weeks to have it done for me.
Seriously if its something you detest or makes a health problem worse then pay for some help especially if its going to help your health by not making things worse.0 -
I hate all housework in every way shape and form.
But ironing is the most mind numbing boring jump in the world. I hate it so much only shirts and uniforms are ironed, everything else is dumped straight into drawers etc.
I would happily clean my over flowing sewage stinking drain than iron.
I even persuaded my OH to do it while i unblocked the toilets and cleaned the litters tray as i cannot bear standing with an iron in my hand.0 -
Totally agree with those that have said ironing!
OH's shirts are the worst. I would rather scrub the toilet ten times than iron a man's shirt!
I deal with it by not ironing anything else (nothing else needs it really tbh), and having a horrible hour on a Sunday night when I force myself to iron enough shirts for the upcoming week.
Seriously considering paying someone to do it, but it's so un-OS, that I may just continue to force myself to get on with it, and spend the money on wine to reward myself with insteadMortgage£148,725 Student loan£13,050 HSBC loan£12,221

Perhaps I'm odd, but i LOVE ironing. I'm not allowed to dust as I'm too allergic but hate putting the rubbish out. It hurts my poor old hands and makes me grumpy LOL. Still better now I'm closer to ground level than before- tenements are rubbish for things like that!Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790
