I've been looking at my spending plan/bank management spreadsheet and although it's really good, it needs to be weekly (and everything adjusted to give me a budget amount weekly) or it's really not going to work! Hubby gets paid weekly and that essentially is our "spending" money, or part of it is, so if I assume it's all going in at one time then I'm going to be screwed...

    Need to think!

Today's bonus (yes, they're back again!) - A&L paid me £100 for transferring to them! Didn't think I was going to get it, as I got cashback too, so pleased with that. Another £100 off SIL's debt!

Had a rather nice "roadkill" bonus of £20 that my 3YO daughter found in the carpark where we were to go bowling! Also, we were due to bowl at 11am and instructed when we booked online (free bowling - mon and tues atm via tenpin.co.uk!) to arrive 20 mins early - we were running late and got there at 10 to, only to find they didn't even open until 11 so we were the first ones there anyway!

No bonuses today so far - apart from HSBC writing to say they are investigating my complaint into missold PPI. Not sure I'll count that yet!

It's been a while but I thought I would update my diary :-)

I fell off the wagon somewhat after doing all my debt free wannabe hard work 3 years ago, but have started again with a vengeance...

I've just calculated that in 2010 I owed £121,429 in total debts. This year the debt total is £98,384, meaning we have paid off £23,045 in 3 years! I was very pleased with this figure :-)

At the moment I am regularly putting money away for things like:

Christmas (will have a spending pot of around £800+ by October and will continue to pay in each week)
MOTs (money goes in each week to cover these)
    Car tax

I am also paying off all my debts slowly but surely - Argos will be paid off by July, and I'm working on paying off the ODs. I have a debt to my mum which we'll work on once the Argos card is cleared, and our only loan that's left will be paid off by March 2015.

Next week hubby might be getting a new job, and IF he does then he'll get a much bigger salary so that will make a huge difference to our debt reduction! Not counting our chickens just yet though...

Going to try and work out a new DFD based on current income and see what it says.

    Seventh Anniversary Debt-free and Proud!
Welcome back ! What a fantastic reduction in only three years !! When you look at your debts, do you always include the mortgage figure in here ? If I had done that, I dont think Id ever have seen daylight ! Only have the mortgage left here now, but thats a necessary evil and will be gone in 12 years or less ....... just in time for me to retire !!

Good luck for the future, Id love to follow you & watch the downward progress :)
Its just a bad day, Not a bad life ..
