Think I have been a bit optimistic with the cost of my Xmas shopping this year, have just worked out I need to budget for another £85 in Novembers pay.
This means I need to find £258.39 by end of Dec to get to £10,999.99.
I have £300 spending money for my holiday in Dec's pay, might have to use some of this and owe the OH till Jan if he'll let me.

Grr I am so cross with myself this afternoon.
I brought a friend a pair of earrings online for Xmas, but on arrival I just don't think they are very her.
Showed them to my mum at lunchtime thinking my sister would love them, but she doesn't agree.
Am now stuck with a £25 pair of earrings, plus I will have to spend £35 on a different pair that I'm sure my friend would love and get my sister something still.

Can you not return the earrings?
Or go with your original instinct that your sister would love them but give them to her with the receipt and make sure she knows you won't be upset if you return them?Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
No they are non-refundable for hygiene reasons, as they are for pierced ears.
I think I'm more frustrated that my mum didn't agree she would love them, as that would be been problem solved.LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

I thought you could still if it was clear that they hadn't been used - must remember that then!
I would go with your original thought that she would like them then. If that was your first thought it's probably the right oneDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
