I very nearly quit when I started, despite having just brought my own snowboard etc!

I hated it and was black and blue, once you get it though it is way more fun than skiing.

Going to disagree with that one! Though to be fair, I haven't tried boarding, can't face being a beginner again!

Being a beginner again sucked, I nearly quit so many times, now I could never go back to those ski boots!

My snowboarding lessons last year helped loads and I was the only English girl in the group so the instructor spent all day saying everything twice!

Have arrived in Tenby, the house were staying in is amazing, it's a Scandinavian log cabin on a golf course. There are no street lights so it's sooooo dark and I've found my first spider!

The other couple are joining us tomorrow night with their 2 young boys so were enjoying the peace and quiet with a nice glass of wine whilst it lasts!

It does sound lovely. Enjoy your weekend!

Ooh the lodge sounds swish! I wanted a nice lodge at centreparcs next year but they are a FORTUNE! Had to settle for a comfort plus with an open fire instead :rotfl:.

Hows t'weather? It's brilliant sunshine where I work at the moment :D

Disagree that boarding is more fun than Skiing? I don't think you can say that until you've actually done both :p

Everyone I know who switched from Skiing to boarding remained a snowboarder because they all said it was much better ;)

Hi Happy, the other couple are arriving at about 7, so we've just had a nice day on our own pottering and eating fish and chips :)
