I am surprised brokers are still referring to Platform as a "specialist sub prime lender"
Platform is the intermediary lender of The Co-operative Bank.
They used to be heavily into sub prime in the good old days.....
However now most of the products are mainstream ...mainstream fixed from 3.69% and tracker's from 2.79%
The sub prime products (2 in total) are known as almost prime...they do not allow for any ccj's or arrears in the last 12 months..the max ccj is £500.00 and 4yrs discharge from bankruptcy....
They have more mainstream products than sub/almost prime........

Conrad, a bit Harsh on Platform they do now offer exclusive prime deals to many networks which are v competetive on rate.

Exactly...I'd be worried about a broker who today is still referring to Platform as sub prime lenders...I do wish Conrad would stop spouting off about other brokers as this is less than professional and just distracts from any good he has to say...and on this occasion he has proved himself wrong and not upto date with his products....

They are still known as a specialist lender. Most sub prime lenders offered prime deals.

And who administers the Platform mortgage after completion?

Platfrom are ok, just not top of my list when it comes to service.

Home Of Choice came to see me - the discussion was very much about life sales and how they could help me 'grow my business' through more life sales - so much for that fee free service some speak of
