Ask some silly questions

I hope some of you kind and knowledgeable people out there can answer what are probably really daft questions.
Firstly how would you know if you had ppi on a particular cc ?
Would it always appear on the statement?
Next, can you claim for loans and cc's that have been paid off.
Lastly, how do balance transfers affect all this?
Thanks,

Hi there
Don't worry they are not silly questions lol

If PPI was taken then the amount should be shown on the agreement alongside the loan amount for loans, and for credit card there is normally a part to tick or cross if this is required.
Yes you can reclaim on PPI on both active and settled finance.
If any outstanding balance on credit cards, it may be the fact they will reduce the amount from the balance with the refund, but it may vary from one bank to another, however if no arrears on an active account it may be the case that they will refund a cheque direct to you.
Hopefully someone will clarify on this bit for you. XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"
