how do we know thye havent weve only got the "freinds" account as given to us by the op

Forum ettiquete is to give people advice based on the FACTS and to ask for more information, rather than making wild assumptions or accusations based on supposition and conjecture.

and stop with the "friend" thing too. people come here for advice, not to be judged by others.

My point exactly!!!! How can my friend keep his nose on the job when he is expected to supervise his colleagues child while at work?

If he and his two other colleagues did keep their noses on the job, then who would care for the young woman? Or haven't you thought that far?

supervise and care are to totally different things

he can still work and keep an eye on the young lady

why would they need to agree to a fire drill ? surely if they did they would handle it correctly as stated by their saftey officer

Because evacuation drills prepare people for the real thing. Fires DO happen. everybody needs to be sure of exits and procedures, moreso if there's someone in a wheelchair who cannot make their own way to the exit, especially during an emergency.

this is Health and Safety Page One stuff. it's not difficult to understand. why are you having so much trouble understanding this simple premise?

and im judging somone how ?

the reason i used the freind thing with comma's was to differentiate between the "freind" and the freind who's daughter it was

Work and keep an eye on the young lady? Thats virtually impossible, the father is paid to work, not to look after his daughter whilst at work.

Someone who has physical and mental impairment requires more than just supervision, I'm afraid.

so im sure if that were the case they would help the disabled child out of the building

there not going to leave her there it would be the same as if one of the employees was disable

Small businesses rarely have safety officers. They are required by law to carry out fire drills on a regular basis but I know from experience that not all do.
