Well I started a project last night - decorating a paper house to put a flameless tealight in - it is so fiddly!!! Plus I'm using some of my favourite papers too - be loved by MME so I am going to be gutted if it all goes wrong!!!! Hopefully I'll get a bit more done tonight!!

Ali - thanks for worrying - I still haven't found that stupid folder - I wonder whether I've given it away???

Wanna-b-rich - thanks for the link - sounds like you had a fab day yesterday!!!!

TiredMom - welcome back - I've never been to centre parcs but I would love the take the kids!!! Well done to your DS - no wonder you're so proud! Hope you finally managed to get some sleep.

Wishfulcomper - sorry to hear about your m-i-l. Your cards are gorgeous - I love the hello kitty one, and your easel card is so pretty!!

Giggle - that's great news about your grandson!!!!

Morning everyone (sorry it's actually afternoon!). We had a fab day yesterday, party and then BBQ - with the exception that England didn't play very well. We got home at 10pm and Thomas was shattered. OH has taken Jack for his karate grading today and has just phoned to say he passed so he is now the owner of a bright red belt - he's so chuffed :j :j :j

I've got loads of ironing to do today - boo and it's raining AGAIN!!!

Hope everyone is having a good day x

    Hullo everyone!!

    Long time no see!

How are all you 'Oldies' and a big welcome to all you 'Newbies'. Sorry I don't get on here very often but I do try and keep up with all the news but it moves soooo fast. Big congrats to all those who have won and /or become DT's. Sending hugs to those who need them (esp Gemma and Nici) glad so many of you are still making so many fantastic cards. I do get to blog hop occassionally and have seen some really amzing creations. Ashamed to say that crafting seems to have taken a bit of a back seat recently but hope to dust off the mojo and get crafting! I have completed a Fathers Day LO for Choccy's challenge over on Creative Craft World so might actually get round to blogging so I can actually enter into a challenge or 2! I have been on Cp and note that I have the very talented Rusty in the card swop so I will be making an animal card for you soon Rusty, definitely need to get the mojo out again!

So what exciting crafting goodies have you been buying/making/planning? I think I saw a couple of you had got bigshots hope you are enjoying them. I am keen to try out some of Tim Holtz's distressing inks. Have any of you tried them out?? Any tips and what are your fav colours? After I purchase them I think I will try and join Padster in her stash diet. I really need to make more scrapbook layouts so it will make me use up some of the fab papers and embellishments I already have and hopefully stop me lusting after all those gorgeous goodies (actually it won't stop me lusting there are just so many beautiful and must have products that keep coming out!!)

Will try and pop in a bit more regularly as I do miss you all and it is such a fabby friendly thread hugs to you all xxx

Hurrah! I've done it..........no it's not some delightful creation I've finished the ironing, it so very rarely happens that the basket gets emptied as I get fed up.........

Am I the only one on here who hasn't been to an Anne Summers Party whatever the orientation of the guests? How did it go Louby?

Congratulations to Jack on his red belt achievement rainmac

Glad you had a good holiday Tired Mum Well done! to your son on ditching his swimming aids - I was 14! & still don't really like the water. Hope you managed to get back to sleep.

Craftygranny - do your sons want to come & do my garage? Or the house as well for that matter we have far too much 'stuff' not quite bad enough to throw away. We are even getting a shed so we can keep even more rubbish!

Wishful comper - sorry MIL isn't doing so well & forgive me for suggesting...... but is she getting all the help she can from social services? They do quite a lot for my MIL even tho' she is resistent to help. PM me if I may suggest anything to help.

Rusty - hows your new toy? I Pad?

Mad Frog - What did you decide or is OH still on PS3?

Hassy - Hope you are back safe with DS1? I went to Inspirations yesterday thanks for 'heads up'. Too late for any demos it's HUGE! I did manage to spend some ££ on a couple of stamps, DST, & gems.

I haven't been to one either marg. Not worried though don't think i'm missing much. lol.

I'm sure they'd love to come and clear out your garage mine's almost empty now. First time in ages and they have a few quid each for the holidays so it worked out good all round. Only room they didn't look in for stuff to take was the craft room. Danny said they aren't brave enough.lol.

I had a fab night. The rep was so carp but we really made sure we enjoyed ourselves but maybe a bit too much as my head is banging still now :rotfl:The rep wasn't in the mood at all as we were taking the micky out of all the product she took it really seriously and would talk in detail about each product. She wasn't happy as right at the start she said we all needed to spend £200 collectively so she got her cut and host get there discount and we all said well you won't get any where near that. I even tried on an outfit i was that brave. Nothing saucy it was quite tame. She did a raffle and i won something!!! but hubby won't believe me he thinks i bought it :rotfl:
:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boys :)

  • louby-lou sounds like you had a fantastic night! I've been to a few and we've always had a giggle! Shame you didn't have a good host though!
