Evening all. Been to the Craft Barn Extravaganza weekend and seen the lovely Suze Weinberg in action and she gave me a necklace she'd made!
Just skim read the last few posts as I'm struggling to keep up! Noticed the discussion re the Bigshot and embossing. I'm no expert, but if you're embossing using using cuttlebug floders or the equivalent then you don't need a silicone mat. However, if you're using Sizzix Texturz Plates or want to emboss using your nesties, marianne creatables or brass stencils, then you will need a silcone mat and an impressions mat. The cheapest way too get this is to buy a starter kit (this is the kind of kit you need, but they do different plates, so it might be worth having a google). You can just emboss using your Nesties by running an embossing tool around the edge see Ikki's blog for more info. HTH0 -

Evening all. Not done any catch up yet but hope everyone is ok. Had a fantastic five days at Center Parcs and got home at 11.30 last night as we didn't leave till 9.30 so all rather tired today. Had a Rainbow's outing today as well to the theatre to see Alice in Wonderland which was great but means I've not done all the unpacking. I did pop into the craft shop though whilst at the Lowry and but the Do Crafts Henbury goody bag.
Have to tell you how proud we are of DS, he can now swim :j:j:j He was down to one disc at his lessons but just couldn't let go of it. 12 months ago he was petrified of water and wouldn't let go of you. Well Wednesday he decided to get rid of the life jacket and hasn't put it on since. He has also been down all the slides by himself and the full rapids too many times to mention. Can't believe that the first time we went to CP he was in my tummy and now 8 years later he is going down the rapids himself.
Sorry waffled then but I am such a proud Mommy. Anyway I have just done a very pleasant shop in Tesco, courtesy of the world cup, and I have a glass of wine in hande ready to get reading.....

Found where I was up to and I have 20 pages :eek::eek:
Good job that bottle of wine is full but think I may have to skip the individual mentions.

Right well 2 hours later I have finally caught up. Internet was painfully slow but I am sure that was something to do with people watching footie on line. Will do a proper post tomorrow as bed is definately calling. Just a quickie though as wanted to say lovely to see you back Thrifty, thanks for PM. Gemma glad to see you haven't gone AWOL and Nici well done on the progress you have made. Hugs to all who want or need them.
Night X0 -
Just popping in. Back from MIL but will have to travel down again on Tue. Things are not good.
Congrats to winners and hugs to those who need them.
Lizalloareds - Hello Kitty here which may be useful, but it seems to be trade only. A local store has some of the designs in, as I used some to make a card which is on my blog.0 -
Might as well do my post now seeing as everyone in this household thinks I don't need sleep  DD has been awake twice, DS had nightmare and wouldn't go back to his room and DH keeps snoring and I think I must have left my ear plugs at Centre Parcs.
Louby - Didn't see your post until yesterday which was a shame as we had a spare day pass for two.
Giggle - Hope Grandson is continuing to thrive.
Nici - What do you use in the vaseline for the chocolate lip gloss please?
Jo & Other newbie, Sorry can't remember - Hello & welcome
Addams - I am now following your blog
Rainmac - I'm supposed to waiting until my birthday for a die cutting machine but think I may not be able to wait especially after you lost are endanger of making everywhere out of stock!
Flourgirl - Acidopholous may help your husband. It is a supplement that you take when on antibiotics as it puts the good bacteria back in your system that they deplete. It may help his stomach whilst on the strong stuff.
WBR - Fingers crossed for you with chicken pox. DH had it at the age of 38 and it seems to be harder the older you are.
Wishful - Sorry things aren't great with your MIL.
Found a note whilst sorting out pile of post yesterday scrawled on a piece of white A4 paper saying parcel in grey wheelie bin. Went to investigate and sure enough on top of our rubbish in the grey bin was a parcel, worth £50, that I had been waiting 2 months for. Nothing exciting just a replacement part. It was delivered on Monday and thankfully our neighbour was away as well as us as they would have put our bin out for the bin men on Friday otherwise.
Right I'm sure I've missed some off so a big hello to everyone and hope any poorlies amongst you and families are feeling better.
Congratulations to all the winners as well and I think it was Mr Mary who had good news as well.
Right I am going to try cushions on the floor and hopefully get a few hours sleep.
