Rainmac and Scattyjan - I am loving my bigshot too, cant wait for my new dies to arrive. My cutting boards the same as yours rainmac, I was a bit shocked when I first used it, but once they had blended into each other a bit, it didnt look as bad! I brought a few cheap dies on ebay to start with, but am still looking for some circles or ovals.

Ali - Hope you manage to sort out your image size

Pointofnoreturn - glad your aunt is feeling and looking a bit better, hope the chemo goes well. I had to laugh when I read your story about the 3d gloss (sorry!), hope the duvets ok!

Right off to get some cards done hopefully! Thanks for the dad image, I may use that for my fathers day card. I have a tag die that came with the bigshot. I havent really used tags before, does anybody have any suggestions as to a good way to use them?

Pointofnoreturn - glad to hear that your Auntie is improving! How's your eye today?????

I love my big shot too ladies - I was just wondering whether anyone has done any embossing on it yet?? I haven't attempted it but I think you need some form of mat first. I was tempted to get some of the new Tim Holtz dies for it - maybe the border ones????

Mine came with one embossing item. It had its own case, so maybe if you get sizzix ones, you dont need any form of mat. You may do with other makes though. It does come out really good. I have other embossing things, that I may look into getting a mat for ( I cant see how else it would work).

    Morning all
    Lovely sunny day :-)):)
PONR hope today is better for you
Rainmac I have brought an alphabet and some embossing bits, this sounds so bad but I cant actually remember and there not here yet *paces floor*:(
I did buy a happy birthday embossing set from hobbycraft (sizzix) so I could play about, how impressed was I it was brilliant, Melissa I didnt need a mat?? from memory I opened that multipurpose platform put the embossing folder on that and then the two cutting pads on top and voila, it was something along those lines anyway . I think and again I cant be sure but with the boarder ones you need some type of extension??? Have no idea as to what though.
Glad your having fun Addams , when I was watching some demos on utube I saw the state of there mats so that didnt worry me, it was the crunch :rotfl:by the way you really need a blog so we can see your creations
    xx

Well I did what you suggested and started a blog, its only basic, but at leasts its a start. Now I have to figure out how to get all the lovely bits down the sides that everyone else has. And how to put it on my MSE profile so everyone can see it!

Ohh Melissa thank you for that tip, my plastic bits are cut to shreads and when I emboss (using embossing folders) it comes out on the back of the card, so If I use my nestie embossing bits it should shimmy it a bit,
Nearly there now then I can get back to my life,

will be back later Jo x
    Take care Jo x
