Making cards - Ideas for beginners (part 4)

Ladies, are there any techie people who can help me?? I have downloaded some freebies the spiderman mouse one and the one from earlier - beer monster - they are jpeg format but when downloaded I cant do anything with them i.e. open them or make them smaller - oops wot have I done???

ali - have you just downloaded the image link, rather than the image itself? ie clicked on the image & saved it rather than the link.? I know I've done that before.......can you try to download it again? Or if it's expired someone else may have the real thing & send it to you. (I'm not techie just made most of the mistakes that it's possible to make.)

Marg- thought I had downloaded it because I clicked on it and then it said download complete and went somewhere but now I cant even find that window - think will have to get hubby to have a look but sometimes hes just as useless because he was with me when trying to sort the spiderman mouse out and he didnt know what to do!! Might need to trade him in for Bill Gates - lol - ooh just imagine the stash I could buy then!!!! lol

Do you have a downloads folder in my documents (this would be the default if you don't ask it to save it elsewhere? Or did it ask you where you wanted to save it and you chose a folder?
Do you have a little yellow folder with a zip on it? if so you need to right click it select extract from the menu and then save it. If you're still having problems send me your email addy and I'll try and send some screen shots

Gemma - I haven't ordered anything as I'm still stash free :A Am tempted though as I have a secret that I can't share till the weekend (how nasty am I LOL!)

padster - thank you I have managed to open the spiderman mouse one - just have to find the other one - cough! all options are now available at the top - print, file etc. can you poss. help with one other thing - how can I make it smaller??

Aargh!! I am going to have to leave it tried to make it smaller and now cant get back into it so re downloaded it and when right click it its not making any difference and all the options that were available now aren't - I hate computers!!! lol

Not sure if I can help with resizing as I use open office rather than microsoft office (bill gates is a swear word in this house).

I open my digis with office draw then highlight the image right click and I get a pop up that says position and size so i just change it to how big I want it - which image is it? I may have it and can send it to you.

ScattyJan, have you had a go with the Big Shot yet, I love mine, my cutting plate looks like it's years old now and I've only been using the thing a week!

Just one question when you click on your image has it black squares in the corner or white circles.
If it is black squares
right click on it
select format picture
select layout
click square
click okay

If you then click on the picture and you have white circles that should work.

Sorry if you have already tried this and I am teaching you how to suck eggs
