Ooh been on already with them and placed an order for some of their little robot 99p stamps and a couple of others (cough) to get up to the £5. min spend. Might just have to pop back over - as you do - it would be rude not to!!

Ooh cant find any in the stamps section do you know if they might be under a diff. name cant find personal impressions??

  • Hi all, I'm new to this thread and thought I would ask for some opinions on the card I just made for my Nan. (Excuse the camera phone picture)

Also as I make cards for her every year and keeps saying I should have a go at selling some. Could anyone give me some suggestions as to where a good place would be to have a stab at this. Also does this sort of style card have a market, I'm not sure myself and I'm not really that confidant with my skills. I looked on Etsy and instantly felt that my cards were not good enough, they all seem way too professional on there.

Evening ladies... not long come in from the garden.. I am shattered.. just when I think I am turning a corner.. I forget about something that needs to be done or decide to do something on top of what I had originally planned..
Put the hanging baskets out tonight.. hoorah!! And did the front border, completely... bedding plants out there too and planted some courgettes out.. it has been all go, and trained up my climbing plants up the fences.. it is due rain tomorrow I think, so a day of tidying the house I think...
Addams Promarkers are brill, but you have to use a certain ink with them, I use Memento.. otherwise the stamped image will run and become blurred when you use the p.m's with it. Also. the colour from the p.m's shows thru from the other side, so I use a thickish card.. hope that helps a bit..
Sweetbabycakes Well done on your sales.. fab.. :)
Melissa Well done with your will power and not eating snacks.. and well done Rusty you have done well not putting much weight on, well done Mr Rusty too.. fab .. :) I have read your new blog.. it ilooks brill.. :D
Marg Hope you had a nice day..
Gemm Hope tomorrow isn't as bad as you are dreading.. :)

Right, I am going to have a look at the free p&p places and sale places before the offers end in.. 1 and a half hours...

Ali - Yes, thank you, we had a lovely time at the BBQ. We came away about 7ish and I've been crafting since as DH has some scientific type stuff on the TV. There are only 29 houses here & they have the BBQ, a Christmas meal & now carol singing as social gatherings. That said, there are quite a few I don't know so it can be a bit awkward.

Gemma - Sorry to hear work is tough for you at the moment - at least this week will only be 4 days & it may not be as bad as you expect. By all means come on here & get it out of your system - that's a good part of why we are all here, to support one another (well, I think so). I've always worked full time until recently & there still isn't enough time to fit in all I want to do. ((Hugs))

Jowri - glad you had a good mini break in Cornwall.

Glittermum - glad your son is better.

Jungle Jane - Welcome I only make cards for myself so can't advise - sorry

Rusty - no cups of tea  Good Luck to you & Melissa wish I had the strength of mind to diet.

    sweet babycakes - Well Done!

Hi! Jane welcome to the totally non-MSE thread. I can't help with going out into the big wide world to sell. I donated cards to our local village shop when it re-opened after we all donated items. I've picked up a few orders from there, people have usually bought a card and I've personalised it for them. I donated for free in the beginning but now I'm happy to charge just enough to cover my costs because I'm still learning. I don't have the time to make anymore than I do so I have no experience of etsy etc.

With regards to your card, all styles have a market, lots of people love bright and strong colours, has your card been coloured on acetate?
Are we all snoozing after a busy weekend, no dawn patrol today and B*M! had to go to work.
