Making cards - Ideas for beginners (part 4)

Rusty You asked about the sunshine die cut - it's the Nellie Snellen Multi Frame round die MFS005. This round die is lovely, doesn't quite fit with my Nesties classic circles, not sure if I've got the large or small set but the one I haven't got might fit better. I also have the rectangle but not keen.0

OAP1945 - your so lucky, my local craft shop stocks them, but charges £9.99 for the 5 packs, hence the reason I order them online. Thanks for the reminder, not sure I'll manage to got a card done, but thanks for setting the challenge.
Mumoffour - Welcome, you've officially found your way to the Money Spending Experts:D. I've got a Big Shot, but paid the same price as a Cuttlebug. The only reason I didn't get a bug is that I like to use other materials and some of the bigger dies that Sizzix sell. The best buy (well actually there are 2) is my Purple Cows Combi Giullotine (forgive my spelling) and my Martha Stewart Scoreboard (hated it initially, but it's now one of my fave toys), oh and my heat gun and my Promarkers! I use the site Dragonlew posted and Sizzix themselves (keep an eye out as they often have silly clearance prices, but P&P is a bit steep).
SweetBabyCakes - I got given a sub to this mag using deals vouchers. It's definately worth getting if only for the freebies (last month there were 16 free clear stamps). I do find it sometimes is the bit samey iykwim, but it does have some really useful hints and tips.
Twinkle - sorry your poorly, think you should go to the drs though, not worth risking things getting a hold.
Rusty - hope your toothache/gum infection eases and you feel better soon.
PONR - how exciting, I'm officially jealous! But daren't go cos those spendy elves will definately bankrupt me! I've already had tiny splurge on new stamps today and if I went to Ally Pally I'd end up with new inkpads, stamps, sparkly products........the list could go on!!
Popkins - congrats on your new arrivals
Thrifty - I'll second the WDW Florida, we went last summer (despite grumpy's (DH) protest that he didn't want to go). We had such a great time that we're looking at booking for next summer and it's his suggestion! Only thing is he now won't even look at a villa and wants to stay on site again and it has to be either Port Orleans Riverside or Carribean Beach. Sadly Virgin won't let Mr T pay in entirety this time, so I've got to workout our finances. Hope you get you washing machine sorted.x
Dragonlew - your card is fab, you really are so clever.
Peppop - love that die, seriously considering some Nesties. Just hope I get on better with them than the Nellies I bought.
Off to bloghop quickly before tea, will leave comments as I go.0 -
Hi ladies - I hope you all had a great easter - the kids have still got loads of easter eggs left.
The lastfew days have been really stressful here - Elliot cut his first two teeth at the weekend and since then he has been miserable! We haven't been getting much sleep and he seems to have developed a dislike for OH. He'll only sit on my knee and as soon as I put him down he just starts crying - so I can't really get anything done. He seems a little bit better today so fingers crossed we're over the worst!0 -
Blimey Rusty you have been busy - love the wire!
I saw on create and craft that you can cut a really really narrow stirp of wither card or paper to thread through the buttonholes in the same way - just be careful how hard you pull it or it snaps off
Loads of free digis hereOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Well I'm all excited now, I've been on angel crafts and ordered myself 25 promarkers. Sat for ages trying to decide which colours I wanted! Trying to think which would be most useful but I'm sure when they come I'll have missed out something really obvious!!!
Can't wait for them to arrive now. I'm already trying to decide which stamps I'll colour first. MAybe I could start stamping the images while I wait for the postie...:D0 -
