I was given 2 sets of antibiotics and i used anbesol gel (which helped numb the pain) plus the painkillers that the dr had given me!! In the end i had to get the tooth removed:( but salted luke warm water will help clean the infection IYKWIM!!
Thanks! I have had lots of Abcesses and always seem to get them around christmas!! thing is when I moved up here I had one and built up the courage to go to new dentist (had evil twisted buitchers before but thought that was normal to hurt me!) this one is lovely and he did root canal without pain relief that is how nice he is, I had a couple of fillings a few weeks ago and knowing how scared of them I am he used the kids Gel to numb my mouth before putting in the needle :rotfl: I really feel for anyone with an abcess and wouldn't wish it on my worst nightmare!! Thanks for the advice, I will have a go with that in a bit, the pain isn't too bad at the minute cause I am already on 26 tablets of varying sorts and have been for well over a year now!
Twinkle - It is an emergency, who cares if they are snotty your health is very important and put yourself first instead of thinking about the snotty people!! hope you feel better soon xx

Hello!!!!
My ticket for Ally Pally arrived in the post today, was wondering if it would come in time or if I would have to phone them to chase!!!
Welcome Mumoffour!!
twinklelittlestar - sorry to hear you are not well. Don't worry about what the snotty receptionist thinks at the doctors, tell her it is an emergency. If it could make you end up in hospital then it is an emergency. Some of these receptionists need to be reminded they are just an appointment maker not God!!!
Hope you feel better soon.
Rusty - oh nightmare, I have a dentist phobia so teeth problems make me shudder!!! I hope the dentist sorts it all out for you.
Nice sunny day again!!The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -

Right better get the 3rd lot of washing out as its still sunny, will be back in abit to catch-up while eating lunch....multi-tasking...its a good job I'm a woman! lol :rotfl:(I'll shut up now, sos!)
Well I'd be on my third washing load as well but my machine's broke:rotfl:
Rusty - ouch and loads of sympathy flying your way. I hate my teeth, I have had so much pain over the years so I really empathise.
Twinklelittlestar - to the docs with you my girl before you become an emergency. With your history they should be able to prescribe without seeing the actual doctor. Any cr*p - send them to Thrifty, I'll sort them for you.
Well I've just found the bottom of my ironing basket - it only took me three days :rotfl:. Time for some lunch methinks.0 -
oh goodness a lorry load of promarkers have just been delivered!!! EEEK!!! well not exactly but it sure feels like it!!! Woop woop!!! 25 from Angels and 4 from Creative Craft World - should've been 6 but 2 didn't show! have actually had my first 'real' play with the ones I already had this morning and I LOVE them!!!
Quick question though - I want to do black hair - but don't want it to just look like a big blob of black - any tips please?
Oooh and my ticket for Ally Pally just arrived too!! cos... like... I need MORE stuff... NOT!!!! I'll just go and stroke everything...0 -
Twinkie get in touch with the doc's asap. After all you've been through, you just don't need another bout of it. Like thrifty said, I'll help too to sort them out, me sleeves are all rolled up and anticipating landing a good Essex slap if there's any carp!
Rusty, glad there's some relief with the gnashers.
Padster, theres a PM on its way re: DCWV:whistle: Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -

:rotfl: Yes I do rattle when I walk, not that I can walk far!! I have a slipped disc, disc disease (still dunno what this is all about?) and a compressed nerve root! My back is relatively pain free but it is the sciatica in my left leg which is absolute agony!! .... if only anbesol would work on that pain then I would be so happy :rotfl:
Right I am still here and really shouldn't be!! I need to be crafting so hopefully back soon! xxRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
