Well NEC girls, hope you all had a fab time and got lots of lovely stash..:D
It was quiet without you.. Tell us all... Did you see the fez man? What did you get?
The girls left behind have been really really creative and made some gorgeous cards.. and cakes...
I am still trying to work out how I can write comments on peoples blogs .. the only ones I can comment on are the ones that accept anon.. can someone give me a clue as to how I can access any of the ones you can go on apart from anon please????
If I can comment on blogs as I go along, my posts on here won't be quite as long as they are at the mo... :D

If you click on someone's name on their post here, it will give you an option to visit their homepage (if they have it linked to MSE), click on that an it will take you to their blog. Don't know if that made sense, it's very late!!!!!

My cake challenge card is on my blog.
  • Hope everyone that went to the NEC had a fab time and got lots of bargains.

I managed to get some of the glue tape runners (not sure of the correct name!!!) in the new 99c (like a pound shop). Also picked up some good glues for 99c also and some tiny round foam pads.

Yesterday - I nearly bought a set of MS blendable watercolour pens but wasn't sure if they were like pro-markers or not and they were quite alot of money so I talked myself out of it!!!! I am going to see how I get on with my Peerless Watercolour papers first before spending more on pens!

Some lovely cards done today for the Cake Challenge, well done to all that took part.

Morning all - looks like you had a busy day without us!

CG - hope you;re feeling OK now?

OAP and TinyPablo - congrats on your challenge wins - and great new challenge OAP.

Fabulous cake cards, and even more fabulous cakes - that dress is awesome! I'll be posting the sweetie cake for my Ds borthday later - it's just skulls, rats and snakes!

Well, I had a lovely day at the NEC again. The food provided by everyone was amazing-special mention to Sylphraven for the malteser birthday cake though!

Thanks to eveyone for the beautiful gifts - Flourgirl my boys just love the rabbit magnet.

I think we can safely say we have a new name to add to the super shopper hall of fame - our Gemm as certainly replaced Popkins this time at the top of the leader board!

I am thrilled with my purchases - especially stamps and more micas - and can't wait to try out som new techniques that we saw.

Have a lovely weekend everyone - I'll be making up lunchboxes for the Indy party this afternoon!

Will photograph and blog stash later!

snipped you - sorry - Wanna b What did you get from Oyster Stamps? Did any of the distressed inks fall in your basket? Did you manage to get the 10% voucher for McArthur Glen and the loyalty card from Papermill? What was the manager's special? Sorry to bomard you with questions.. I am just interested..:)

I'll post a picture of my new stash on my blog later for anyone who is interested.

    Oyster Stamps
    - it would've been rude for the inks not to jump into my basket:D - I also got the blender tool replacement pads, a cuttlebug embossing folder that I've been after for ages, 2 sets of mica/pearlescent paints, 2 magazines for 50p each and loads of barginous papers (cos I've mainly been using free stuff up until now and am fed up with searching for co-ordinating designs). I forgot to look for the Judkins Sticky Stuff (was abit overwhelmed by all the lush goodies tbh), but I'm sure I can live without it for a while longer!

    McArthur Glen
    - didn't get the 10% discount voucher, but did get the loyalty card from Papermill. I got another 4 large boxes of card/paperstock for £10 (they had lightweight white card and heavy weight white paper, green 300gsm cardstock and a red linen card and paper on clearance). The white heavy weight paper worked out cheaper than buying Tesco's value printer paper and is soooo much nicer. I also got one of the £4.99 boxes with lots of lovely card and paper. Oh and I got some flock - have been wanting to try it for a little while and thought at 99p, why not?

If anyone is visiting there over the weekend, they had the Hugs & Honey Range of stuff reduced (The stamp sets were £2.99 can't remember the other prices - sorry).

Also, forgot to post last night, The Craft Superstore has reduced its Basic Grey Stamp Sets - I accidently ordered the Archiac ones as I've been after them for ages but  at paying too much for stamps.

Those naughty spendy elves are now well and truly banned from my house!

Forgot to say Charlie I got my first set of PM's from the Show and paid £25 for 17 pens. I ordered the set of grey and pastel pens last weekend from Joanne Sheen for £6.99 p/s delivered and then ordered some seperate ones for £1.50 from Creative CraftWorld

PONR - the watercolours are different to your PM's as the PM's are alcohol based, I used my watercolour pens on my card for Lyndach's Challenge. I use a plain white tile and scribble the watercolour penscolours onto it and then use a water barrel brush to lift and blend the colours to paint with. The colours are far more subtle. But if you use the pens direct onto paper, the finish can be a bit patchy more like cheap markers pens IYSWIM?

:o eaten a piece of everyones cake, absolutely de-luschious!!

Sorry I wasn't around yesterday, busy busy at work as it's the tax year end and in the evening did loads of hand-holding as OH is coming down with Man-Flu  He's still under the weather today, ah! bless! Still, there will be a miraculous recovery later this afternoon as we are out to dinner tonight at his favourite eatery. I'm sure he'll manage to eat everything on his plate including the treacle sponge and accompanying custard. He won't have custard served with his pud, has to have it seperate as he reckons he gets more. :D

Oh dear, I wonder if I have an image of a cake somewhere?????

Morning all, or should I say afternoon!!! ... I haven't caught up with the 12 pages i am afraid as I would be here all day!! loving some of the pictures of all of the cakes!!! sounds like you all had a good time without us!

Thankyou for all of the well wishes about the funeral, the funeral was quite robotic so not too good, and I was dissapointed that there was a lack of flowers for my gran on the coffin!! Was a lovely service even though the above was dissapointing! Thurs we had a huge massive family row so OH, myself and the kids left my aunts early and went to hobbycraft :D OH bought me loads of lovely goodies from there!!

my 5am start went well, I was on the road to bunbuns for 4:59am!! .... picked all of the lovely ladies up, Myself and Choccy filled up the swear box in my car, whilst bunbun. craftyjuju and flourgirl just laughed at us all. Choccy sat blowing kisses to the idiots on the road!! ..... we arrived, found a whole group of bunnies and managed to do the first 2 aisles in 2.5 hours :rotfl: We stopped for lunch, had lots of beautiful cakes from everywhere, reduced choccy to tears by setting off the party poppers and singing happy birthday to her!! ...... Well I could be here all day with all of the details!! Anyway a fantastic day was had, and thanks to the aid of a walking stick I borrrowed from choccy I managed to walk round the whole show!!

Thankyou to all of you for the beautiful gifts and scrumptious cakes!! I am going to post a couple of posts on my blog!!

I am struggling to move much today, and my hand is very bruised from using the stick!! I got home at 11:33pm last night!! although very nearly didn't get home due to some idiot in a lorry almost side swiping us as he drifted into the fast lane which was quite scary!! I really did have a fantastic day and the pain today is worth it!! :D

I sat last night and counted up how much I spent whilst there, I spent a whopping £163.18  but it was so worth it!! :j

Will try and pop back on later on but I keep getting jumped on by my lovely children who missed me yesterday!! off to upload some of the lovely things on my blog!!
