Also thought I would share the following disussion I had this morning. Went shopping with "& son" ostensibly to Aldi but it's on a retail park so....

1 "I want to go to PC World is that ok?"
2. "Awwwww - can't we go to Hobbycraft
1. "I promise I'll be quick - we can have a look at the laptops"
2. "I'll just wait for you in Hobbycraft I think - there's a few things I'd like to take a look at and when I've finished I can see if they have any bargains.


Guess who was who ......
I was number 1 - "&son" number 2 - surely this has to go down in my list of bizarre conversations you don't expect to have with a 9 year old boy.

In the end we both went to both stores - I didn't get what I wanted in PC World - £7.99 for a screen protector for an IPOD !!!!!!!!!

Very restrained in hobbycraft. I just about managed to tear myself awa from a DCWV once upon a time 12x12 stack that was reduced to £4.99. The papers were beautiful but there was no way I'd use them - they're just not my style.
"&son" talked me into buying a manga pack of promarkers. The outline pen was missing so they were reduced to £4.99 for 10.

wow dawn what a bargain you got there on your promarkers! &son sounds like he was right in thinking they'd have some good deals

on the Ipod issue, have a look on ebay as I got mine from there, they are only a few quid xx

rainmac - Thankyou Its been so long since I made a card, I tend to ponder over the way it looks, then I start worrying it looks rubbish...but I got there in the end

Can't wait for the NEC Will there be stands that sell beads & buttons too? I'm starting to look into jewerally making..ontop of the cards & sock creatures. I like to be busy can you tell lol
I'm always thinking of other new things I can have a go at. I tried crochet at the begining of the year & found that wasn't for me, maybe cos I'm a leftie, but hay ho never mind, I've tried it x

I was thinking of starting up jewellery too, I have so much craft stuff now I struggle for things to buy lately :rotfl: thought jewellery would open up a whole new dimension of spending for me

Gemm85 - I know, its so bad. I'm clearing out selling on Ebay but the money I made this week went onto buying materials for Jewerally making my hubby doesn't seem to mind, well he's not said anything. I think he sees it as my money as I've done all the work putting stuff on & posting it

I have a little money saved for the NEC so some might get spent on things like that...I'm terrible anything shiny & sparkly I love, hubby says I'm like a magpie lol

WOW the list of stands at NEC is HUGE! Can we get around them all?
I can't wait, can you tell I think this may be the 3rd time I've mentioned it today! lol
