I bought a big shot for £60 with free rubber embossing mat, free die and user dvd. Bought some nellie dies, there was an offer on nesties for £16.99 but seems so much money compared to other dies. Promarkers were really cheap, got 10 plus a fine liner for £11.50. The every crafts a £ stall was maaaaaaadness, I boght 3 8by8 chipboards for £1 and going to make memo pad blocks with them. Bought some acrylic stamps, some squizzers and a tape pen and a pack of 8by8 papers with roses on (roses are my favourite flowers). Saw Barbara grey from clarity stamps, anthony from pinfalir and Anna Marie from Anna Marie designs. Also dicovered a new craft shop has opened near me so went yesterday and bought distress ink, a water brush, black embossing powder, and some other stuff that I can't remember. phew. Have all ready had a play with my big shot, I love it! Which are the best value for money dies? hugs to all those that don't feel well xxxxxx

right guys i've been lurking for a week so can only comment on the things from the last few days as my memory is failing me!
Well done on making the DT Gemma, you should look into making it some kind of job, like a demo type person.
Scatty jan- glad the move has gone well and if the cats are settled then you know it has!
so jealous of you guys going to Ally Pally, but i'm saving for the NEC!
i'm off to blog hop now, but on another note please can you make sure you have word verification turned off as i think i keep losing comments because i close the page down quite quickly and only then notice what i have done
i had a lovely day yesterday dropped DH off to go to football, had a look around hobbycraft, bought 3 pieces of magnet foam (98p on my card, i felt a fool!). then i came home via Bk for a little bit of hangover food (chinese and excessive drink, friday night) then i crafted! my friend came round, she cross stitched i made cards and it was lovely
then DH and her partner came back so we made delia's cheat shepards pie and then went to see the town, which i enjoyed. the bad news is i know have to do some housework todaybut dh is still in bed so i'm going to update my poor neglected blog.
have a day / week x0 -

I was wondering who might be going to the SECC in October as I have been thinking about going but none of my friends are particularly into crafting and I would be wandering about on my own0 -
morning
big congratulations to Gemma on her design team post
best value dies - the ones I use the most are nesties, embossing folders and flower dies (the kind you can layer up). I find that the best price for dies is usually cuttingedgecrafts or oysterstamps do 4 sets of nesties for £60 i think.
thank you for all your lovely comments on my halloween card - I really enjoyed making it. Off to investigate google redaer and catch up on blogs0 -
Hello People,
I am looking into card making for christmas. Does anyone know of any good sites of inspiration for making christmas cards? I like to view cards others have made and get ideas to change to make my own twist. If anyone has just made any feel free to post them up!
Thanks in advance!0 -

Happy Sunday everyone
TomsMom I have been reading about keeping the cats in and most places reccomend between 3-4 weeks - I did gulp when I first read it and thought it would drive them mad - but they are not showing any signs of missing going out and they have been with us a week tommorow , two of them never really used to go out of our old garden so Im hoping that will stay the same fingers crossed .This garden is about 4 times the size of our last garden and there are lots of trees etc for them to play.

Afternoon all,
Sooooooooo Jealous of you that went to Ally Pally, am seriously thinking about the NEC now
Thank you Gemm for the chart for promarkers/copics and congratulations on the DT xx
I still need to know what the following colours are in Promarkers if anyone can help?
Copics E33, E35, E37, R05, R27.
Also i hope you don't think i'm too stupid, but how do you use distress inks?
Thanks in advance xx0 -
Kms26 - sorry I can't help you about promarkers & copics I don't think there is any direct connection between the two so you probably have to play till you get the look you want. I use copics but don't have any of those colours - in case it helps I can tell you what name they give those numbers?
E33 -Sand
E35 - Chamois
E37 - Sepia ----oops I do have that it's a warm mid brown colour
R05 - Salmon red
R27 - Cadmium red
Scatty Jan - Moving your cats reminded me of when we moved house about 8 years ago :rotfl:We weren't moving very far and we were afraid our 3 might try to get back 'home' as they were about 7 years old. DH took them a ride round before he brought them here so they wouldn't sense how close it was, took them each separately, and by a different route so they couldn't compare notes!!!:rotfl: Then after a while because they were going mad to go out he tried taking Sam out on a harness & lead (under cover of darkness!) but it wasn't a success - cats don't walk in a straight line like dogs he ended up round trees under bushes etc. We couldn't even get the harnesses on Skittle & Susie so just had to sit it out til we thought they were ready.0
