I met Midge Ure once, my friend booked him to do a concert at our local comp, its about 10 years ago. What a nice man, it did seem a bit weird at the time sitting and having a cup of tea and a sandwich and chatting with him.

I'm having trouble with blogger too and keep getting the error 503, it sooo frustrating!!

You name dropper you ;) I shook Bob Monkhouse's hand when he came to switch on some Christmas lights near where I used to live.

PONR - Woohoo! Think I've actually seen a band that someone else on here has seen - I've seen the Proclaimers & I think the Housemartins became the Beautiful South? I've seen them both in the last few years. How's your foot standing up to all the walking?

Well Done again & again Dragonllew!

OAP - It's not too late to start! I've been to a few in the last 5 years & one of those was Status Quo but never been to any before that!
  • Well I'm up to page 635 and realised that I haven't marked any of the posts I have read since I've been back so no idea how far I still have to go .

Having had such a long break my mojo has disappeared and I can't find any of my stuff as the new stuff isn't yet unpacked and is blocking the door to my old stuff. That said I have mananged to make a couple of quick cards tonight that are needed pronto. I will be able to enter them into the current MSE challenge but can't blog them at the moment if you know what I mean. ;)

Right off to bed, had a stressful evening with poor DS. He is absolutely exhausted and he had a friend home from school which wasn't planned and wasn't a good idea. Since they started in the Juniors last Thursday they have about an hour a night of homework which we usually do as soon as he comes in. As his friend was here by the time he went it was tea time so we didn't start his homework till 6.30, far too late thus resulting in melt down. He has started on the read write inc program as well this week so I dread to think what it will be like when homework for that starts coming home .

Got to go shopping in the morning as we are making marshmallow and digestive biscuit hats with the Rainbows tomorrow night and I completely forgot that I am doing the activity, oops.

    Night peeps.

I got kissed my Philip Schofield at the St Johns Centenary Party in the Park in the days of him not having grey hair.

Thanks for the link to the cuttlebug challenge Wifey. I'll sort out a card to enter for it, as it is a fairly simple one to do.

I've only every been to a couple of concerts - the best one has to be a 7hr Elton John/Eric Clapton on at Wembly in the early 1990s. Wasn't so keen on Eric Clapton, but love and still do Elton John. When my OH and me were dating he took me to REM, and Chris Rea, which was his taste and not really mine.

All this talk about famous people, has made me think who the most famous person I have met is. Quite a few athletes since I used to work for the Commonwealth Games Team for 9 years, so my favourite has to be Mark Foster (the swimmer and was in the last series of Strictly Come Dancing), coming into the HQ office in not much more than a pair of speedos and saying hi. He is so gorgeous I almost died. The first time I met him was in 2002, where he was playing 'Who wants to be a millionaire' on an arcade machine, he was stuck on a question, and I knew the answer - What is the middle name of Mike Baldwin in Coronation Street? I told him it was Vernon, and he was well impressed :rotfl:. He remembered me when I met him in 2006 when he came into the HQ Office.
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

OOOh Tired mom - I can't beat that! Philip Scofield - I must be getting old because he looks better with grey hair.

I haven't really met anyone famous but thinking about when we were kids, my mum worked in a hotel. Jimmy Saville was staying and she slipped a Jim'll fix it letter from me under the door. I asked to visit Graceland (Elvis's house) I think I was a bit greedy. :rotfl:Did anyone else ask for anything?

Scatty - good luck with the move. :D

Well done on more wins Dragonllew and Artydoll. :j

Thanks for the tip on the Cuttlebug blog, The Wife - I wasn't following that one.

Jazabelle - I wondered what RAK was too so you're not alone. ;)

Blogger is playing funny beggers with me to, so apologies if I haven't commented. :(

Oh I did. I wrote with my twin sister, and asked to sing with Pink Floyd - not sure of the exact title of the song, but the chorus - we don't need no eduction (blah, blah, blah) ...... brick in the wall . Think we were only about 8 at the time:rotfl:

Oh CT - Mark Foster -Yummy - Lucky You! Not being into sport I only know him from Strictly :o . Chris Rea is another concert I've been to recently (twice!) - Think the Pink Floyd is called Another Brick in the Wall?
