Morning all, wet and windy here, we were supposed to be going for a picnic but cos of the carp weather we are meeting lots of friends at a play centre, going to be mad busy but kiddies should have fun.

Congratulations on the win Tomsmom, I love that card, hope your head feels better soon x

Thanks for your help with red pearlised paper Craftygranny and Wanna B Rich, I'll check them both out.

Congratulations on your with TomsMom - it was a fabbie card.

Have a great day everyone despite the weather - I've got to do the housework before we go away tomorrow, but I am childfree as both kids are going out with their friends for the day. So if I am extra quick with the dreaded housework, may get a chance to craft.

    xx
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

Craftfairies Thanks for the info about the magnetic sheets.

Can I be cheeky? If anyone is going to Hobbycraft can they please get me some? 3 will do. I will be happy to pay any postage/packing charges you incur to post it to me. I can't get to a Hobbycraft and it's 69p a sheet online with £3.95 delivery :(.
  • Craftfairies - thanks for the heads up re the foam, I'll see if DH can pop into a Hobbycraft on his travels (the nearest one to me is over an hour away, so it would hardly make it bargain for me)

Rainmac - have a nice day, I'm just dragging DS to Blockbuster to hire a movie or an xbox game as there is no way we are going to be doing anything today, the weather is foul!

CT - have a fab break and I hope you get to craft later.

I'm going have a quick tidy round later, and then make DS's birthday card (hopefully he'll be occupied by the film or game), I hadn't realised how near to the end of the month we were! So I've had a frantic ordering session for pressies and need to get his card done before 1/9!!!

Good morning! We have sunshine today - hope it reaches you all soon. Despite that, I'm still feeling carp, yesterdays 'not brilliant best' start developed into a very nasty attack of cystitis. I managed to get antibiotics so it's not as bad today - sorry too much information.

Artydoll - thanks for the reminder I thought 27th was Sunday:eek: I'll see what I can come up with. Our nieces birthday is 27th & DH had to go & buy a card (hangs head in shame)

Well Done Toms Mum it was a gorgeous card.

CT - I've had a pearlised red card from Papermill as part of a mixed box not sure if they do it by the sheet. I can send you a sheet if it helps.

WBR sounds like you have the same kind of weather as us . Not a kid in sight on this road which is really unusual that's how bad the weather is .

Toms mum congrats on your win . It is a lovely card.

My order from craftydevils arrived this morning and my oh answered the door. Luckily he was quite impressed by how much stuff i got for his money lol. He thought i was joking when i said most of the items were only a pound each.

    Hi all,

I'm new on here. I've been reading a while and certainly recognise a couple of names (Rainmac and Dragonllew). What I'm wondering is if you can use sizzix folders with a wizard? I'm always unsure about buying other brands.

    Thanks,

    Donna :)

Hi! DonnaMarie, welcome to one of the friendliest places on earth. You certainly can use your Sizzix and Provocraft folders with the Wizard. Try it out first and if it doesn't emboss as deeply as you would like, just add a shim (a piece of card the same size as your folder) and try it. With all the things I've pushed through my Wizard, I haven't had a problem. Even the Nellie Snellen and Joy dies have been fine. The only thing I've not tried is the Bigz XL dies as they are so expensive.

  • Hey CT in our hobbycraft it was on the end of one of the isles, but was also on the shelf by the normal foam sheets and felt in the isles with the childrens crafts
