  • lei would this mole with the paperchain be ok & you could add a hat? Only thing is he's on a christmas sheet & I think the pattern on him is holly.
  • Irlip I'm not sure about Durham sorry, there's a couple more people from the North East on here who might be able to tell you of some places to look.
I usually look in The Works when I go to the Metrocentre as they have some nice craft things in like little embellishments for your cards & card blanks (they are usually at the back of the shop on the lefthandside). There is also The Paper Mill Shop which is worth a look.
In Newcastle in Eldon Square, Fenwicks & John Lewis sometimes have craft things in. My mind has gone blank as to where else you could look. If I think of anywhere else I will update you! To be honest I usually buy most of my craft stash online.
  • PS. Forgot to say, hope you have a fab time Irlip! x x x

Driving down tomorrow and staying in Durham. Metro Centre on Saturday and Eldon Square. We have a Hobbycraft here so just wondered if there was anywhere else?

You are wasting your time :rotfl: we have nothing here, the nearest ones are Hobbycraft @ Team Valley retail park, Papermill shop inside the metro centre, then nearer to Durham you have Dainty Supplies, Imag-e-nation (on the same trading estate just around the corner) and then just outside durham city there is the scrapbook shop. There is also a range in Stockton!
If you have available transport then you could visit Boundary mill at Shiremoor, and if you fancy a cuppa send me a PM with your number and I will get in touch :j

Sorry haven't had a chance to reply to everyone, well done winners and thanks for all the congrats for OH :j I am so proud of him!!

He picks up his new motorbike in the morning so I shall officially be a neglected woman ,... when did my stash ban end? :rotfl:

Rusty - I say your stash bans ends the minute OH picks up his motorbike! Have fun!

Irlip - have fun shopping and congratulations on your first b**g award!

Flourgirl - you sound just like me! Have Octobers cards sorted but not the one needed for Monday. LOL

    WTG Jellybaby - that's a lovely card.

Gemma - I'll sign up to the AtC swap - if everyone doesn't mind. I've not made one before. It's just basically a card front in miniature, right?

How are you feeling today Artydoll?

I think that's everyone covered who's posts I missed when I turned computer off last night. To anyone else not mentioned here - have a lovely day.

I'm off to checkout bl*gs. See ya later!

    Morning all, just a quickie!
I was just doing my daily rounds on the challenge B**** on a few that ended recently, and I saw that someone with my name had won the main prize, which is a $25 gift certificate with an online American craft shop, I thought, 'nah, it can't be me, must be someone else called Joanna', so I click the link to the winner's b*** and it took me to mine!!
    Total shock!
However, it says they only offer free P+P to USA and Canada, so I'm gonna have to fork out for P+P.
Haven't checked out the online shop yet to see what I could get, so will just have to wait and see.
Off to e-mail her now to claim my prize!

I have put Tilda as a competition on my B**G. Good luck everyone!

Ack, I thought I had already replied to this, but obviously not, unless my post was deleted after susing the B word.
I have posted a link from mine to yours, and I already left you a comment :)

I would like to start a little disscussion if you all don't mind. Which Promarkers (colours) could you not live without? And which colours do you use for skin tones and hair?

The reason i am asking is because i always use Dusky pink for skin with pastel pink for cheeks and either Caramel, Cocoa or Gold (not metalic) for hair. I rarely use my blacks

Hiyas kms, I use Blush for skin, and add a second layer of the same colour for cheeks.
Gold and Yellow and Tulip Yellow for blonde, and Cocoa and Cinnamon for Brown.
I haven't actually done one with black hair lol But you can always use a white gel pen to highlight black hair :)
    HTH

PS. Congrats to all the other recent winners!
Gotta scoot now, lotsa cards to get done and enter in to challenges before the deadlines, plus I have a box to finish off making.
