Hi All
Been busy amusing the kids, as I'm sure everyone has.
Congratulations dragonllew on your promotion
PONR - hope you get your appointment for your foot soon. If its causing you pain the docs should sort you out quickly.
Giggle - glad the craft fair went well.
Thanks for all the freebies. Off to do a blog hop before my pilates class. xxMay - £251.63/£155, June - £108.69/£150, July - £157.45/£155, Aug - £104.28/£155
Sept - £110.80/£150, Make £5 a day in Oct challenge = £50.50/£1550 -
CGC - in case I forget later, hope you have a wonderful holiday. Hope your brother is OK - maybe he's just a bit apprehensive........I find the thought of spending lots of time with other people daunting 'til it actually happens then I'm OK:o
AJfan - Welcome - sorry I don't have an answer for you but perhaps something like liquid pearls that you can use on fabrics would 'stick' to your items.
PONR - Hope you get an urgent appointment.
Mary OP - meant to say my DH gets Tinnitus and it's grim but it does go away for chunks of time so maybe yours will too........?
I'm struggling a bit to keep up on here - reading all but not always able to reply, sorry..........0 -
Afternoon. It's still hot and muggy here, just praying the weather stays OK for Friday - I have 8 girls coming for a BBQ birthday party & sleepover in a tent in the garden! Really don't fancy having to have them all indoors if it rains.
Ali.b - Your prize is almost ready to send, I'll send you a PM shortly
Mel & Dragonlew - you have email
CGC - happy dance - whoooo 3 more sleeps!! Like Marg says, maybe he's just apprehensive about the holiday and spending time with lots of people. Or maybe he thinks that the organised approach will make the holiday like a military assault. When we went my DH agreed that that we should have a vague plan, but was mortified by my planning as he reckoned it would be like a boot camp and got a bit stroppy about it!! LOL. However, when we zipped through immigration in seconds whist the masses stood inline and then by passed the massive crowd at Animal Kingdom and walked straight into the park and onto rides, he soon changed his tune! If you don't plan for Florida I'm afraid things just won't happen, there's way too much to do. If I don't see you posting before you go - have a fabby time and make sure you bookmark all the craft stores so can point me in the right direction next year!
Off to make mens cards now - yukk!!!0 -
To all you lucky lucky peeps going to the States, look out for any freebie papers lying around especially for the coupons for the likes of Michaels and Joannes, sometimes the percentage you get off can change from week to week. Like PONR said check out the dollar stores for brilliant crafty stuff, I've got some amazing bargains especially paper flowers in them both in Canada and the States. I managed to get my little 'uns a Cuttlebug and various dies for under $40 with the Michaels coupons we clutched in our little mitts. The Michaels I have been in don't seem to carry Basic Grey but you should see plenty of K & Co paper stacks. Bo Bunny features there as well but defo ask if they have a 'Sale' area as it may be over the other side of the store but usually there's some brilliant stamps marked down, when you get to the checkout sort through the carousels by the tills too. Give yourself loads of time, at least two - three hours. And don't gawp! they'll know you're English!!
I WANNA GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -
WBR I'll check out my sweet pea stamps when I get home, as you can see I am v. busy at work at the moment without a minute to spare.
I was pleased with the sentiments grab bag and they stamp very well, there was a couple of Christmas ones in there but I can always use them. As for the other grab bag, I couldn't tell you what I got but I didn't get any duplicates and six stamps for $10 (i think) was a smashing bargain. I haven't tried any of them yet.
Just popped back to have a look at their website and loads of dragons in the sale, dragonllew.
Not buying any more 'cos I'm on a stash ban and haven't played with the others yet, mine are mainly ching chou's stamps.
Just spotted flourgirls post below, so Happy Anniversary Cake Day to Mr & Mrs Bunbun:whistle: Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -

No time for crafting just at the moment as we have Willow staying, its her birthday tomorrow so we have been to Toys r Us this morning for 2 more barbie dolls. The party is here tomorrow dinner time, she has invited 6 little girls for a pool and pizza party, lets hope the weather stays fine. We have made the party bags and I will put them on my blog later. Just have the fruit kebabs to make in the morning and set the table up in the conservatory. If it rains I was planning on them doing some colouring of images and making a card or something to take home, might make some name plates on the silhouette for them to decorate.0
