Sorry I wasn't allowed my phone at the hospital, I'm home...
basically nurse rang again saying that 4pm was insane to wait to see a doctor and the unit doctor wanted me at A+E asap,
turns out that the symptoms I've had all last week, despite a clear test a week ago, were a massive kidney infection,
plus my blood tests were wonky, so I had to get IV fluids, complicated by being low weight and un-well, as too much fluid could do more harm than good. Have had a dose of strong anti biotics through the IV too and they let me home rather than admit me, as I'm better taking what fluid I can orally.

So yes.

thanks hun,
mum's making a complaint with our GP surgery tomorrow too as the way we've been treated over the last six months has been dire and today really was the final straw.

I feel much better for having fluid, but super guilty for putting people through the worry

Good for your Mum. Have they given you oral antibiotics and something for the pain? I once collapsed at uni with a bad kidney infection it was really nasty so I feel awful that you were in all that pain and nobody helped you.

anti biotics yes, strong ones but there is too much risk with painkillers

Aw, well you make sure you take them all, set an alarm on your phone so you don't forget to take each one! Then drink, drink, drink! Hope you feel better soon.
