for doggy well wishers...sick dog, who we call Clever, is now home for the evening. She's much brighter for having had some fluids and after some debate (the xrays were very unhelpful) she's going to have a transfusion tomorrow. Vet said we could take her off the food she hates and barely touches and feed her whatever she wants (in fact we ll went to the fish and chip shop together for some fish for her)..and she's found her appetite again. Fish and chip shop owners were slightly pertubed, firstly the request ''no salt, no vinegar, no chips'' then to watch us pick of the batter and feed it to a dog, for us to come back in...twice.
Oh that's lovely to hearGlad she enjoyed her fish!

Ah glad doggie is back with you and eating something she likes.
I really can't wait to see what Queenie, GG and PF bought out shopping and even more excited to hear about your trip tomorrow Alex! Is that a bit sad?0 -
Haha, not sad at all! I love seeing what other people have bought.
Hope I don't let the side down and come home with a load of boring stuff! Just working out my budget for the day now...0 -
Edit: Ohhhhhhh lostinrates .... I'm SO sorry, I meant to say hope doggie is ok, you'll have to forgive me, my memory is awful and I've only been skim reading today. I'm glad you have her home xxxx
Oh sweet you, no need to be sorry in the least. I find it really hard to keep up, and almost never manage at weekends especially.0 -
Wow I've missed so much. I'm sorry if I don't manage to catch up on everything but I hope you are all well and hugs to anyone who needs them.
Have caught up and commented on all your blogs and just updated my own. Will chat more tomorrow.0 -

Morning everyone
Alex, have a lovely time shopping !
Still in PJs here, DS still off school with a really bad sore throat:(. He woke up last night all confused and really sweaty so I'm keeping him off today to keep an eye on him.
It's a lovely morning here and today looks like a good day for the garden, so that's where I'm headed later on. I really need to get my fruit bushes planted so the wellies are coming out and I intend to spend the afternoon outside. It's a bit frosty here atm so I'll wait until the ground has softened up a bit.
Going into town later (once big sis is home from school so she can babysit). A few ebay parcels to send and a few packaging materials to buy so I can get the next lot in the post.
I've popped 2 things on my blog that I'm happy to send to anyone that would like them? In the event of more than 1 person wanting something, I'll pop names in a hat at the end of the day. There'll be lots more over the next few days. Anything left will be sent to the charity shop at the weekend - then I can hope for some good karma
Right, shower is calling, catch up with you all later. xxx:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -
Alex- have fun today!
jtb- hope DS feels better, have a nice time in town!
Ok, boring ish outfit today, regular doctors attire!
Beige vest top: miss selfridge
Blue + green tartan dress: new look
Green tights: Primark
Light jersey grey cardi: peacocks
Heavier beige cardi: next
Flat black buckle detail boots: dorothy perkins
coat, gloves etc.
Hopefully meeting friend after appointment which will break the day up a bit. Course work also on agenda, and big food shop later. Funnn.0 -
Has anyone tried the Tescos ''luxury soft'' and /or ''Luxury silky'' tights? I'g going to...horror of all horrors, wear lack tights this week, because my legs are still really very bruised. Do you think I can wear black tights and peep toes? Reviews of the above tights would be welcome...
Also, I'm not getting smooth results with my new epilator....hairs too short do we think?
Daisybella, any tips from a die hard eplator-ist?
Today: fleece neck thing....white and a beigey pink, long sleeved black T and black trousers (I'm doing a black week). Changed muckers for some bright flats from Tesco. (I hate tesco, why are they getting so much of my money ATM?) no makeup!!! no jewelery!
Off with Clever for her transfusion this morning (she had a great night and made us all laugh smacking her lips asking for more fish and steak...:))0 -
I use those tights as basic black ones and they are fine
Also wear black tights and peep toes!
Epilator takes some getting used to, the first few times I didn't get much result at all, I think it's a case of experimenting with what length hair is best for you and also technique of using the thing! Exfoliating before, and moisturising after helps
Good luck for Clever0
