Afternoon ladies
My word you have been busy little chatterboxes since I came on last!
Wasn't around yesterday as went to a wedding, stayed overnight and came back today. Was hoping to get out with the camera to have a go at getting some shots for the photography course I've just started but the weather has not been playing ball.
Was shocked to hear the news about the earthquake in Chilie this morning when driving home - a friend of mine is living out there as thats where his parents are from and nobody can get hold of them so we are all a little worried at the moment
Those who were talking about Beetles - OMG I love them! I always said that if I come into a load of money I'm getting myself an old Beetle and having it customised to take to Bug Jam in the Summer. Have always wanted to go there but nobody ever wants to come with me
Am having a really lazy Sunday. Finished editing the pictures I took of my friends little boy to send to her so hoping she is pleased with them and am now watching "This is It" even though I wouldn't say I was an avid fan of Michael Jackson I did like his music and just watching this film is making me a little emotional
Outfit wise am just wearing black slouch trousers and a black v neck top - dressed for comfort today! :rotfl:
Hope you've all had a great weekendOne day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -
Oh Vicki, recipe for the bean burgers please?
I'm driving myself mad now with this not settling to do anything, but unable to relax mode.0 -
Know how you feel daisy, feel like I've not really achieved that much
but a friend invited me to cinema later, or for a curry and DVD at his or something so at least that gets me out the house I guess..0 -
Bean burgers:
I'm not sure about quantities as it was a made up recipe.
1 tin drained kidney beans
1 chopped onion
1 clove garlic
chopped corriander leaves
ground cumin
ground cinnamon
groung corriander
chilli flakes
lime juice
1 egg
sesame seeds
plain flour
1 chopped red pepper.
some sweetcorn
salt and pepper (if you like)
mush the beans either with a blender or fork unti gooey.
Add everything else in and mix it all together. Add enough flour until it binds together and is no longer sticky.
pat into burgers and shallow fry on a medium heat until it looks done!
I think they'd be nice with a green salad, few tortilla chips and some guacamole.0 -

and enjoying the girlie banter! I recently moved city and although I love my boyfriend to pieces I really miss my girlfriends a.....
ruthless ly snipped, but thats sort of how I feel. I make friends uite quickly normally, and quite like moving when I've done it, but when I returned ''home'' (where my parents live was not my childhood home) it was somewhere different from where I'd been educated, been to uni, and lived as a young woman. And I was sick and don't work....so I have felt a bit...isolated. I have good friends within a fdrive, but sometimes not up to the drive, and its too far for them weekdays while working, and I have lovely friends who are older locally, but not quite kindred spirits. hen...dh is away week days too.
I get along just fine, and don't feel sorry for myself at all, but it IS lovely to have some ''girly'' time0 -
Hello all,
Hugs to anyone who's not feeling well (people and pets).
I got up late and went out for a walk as usual. The weather was bracing and I was singing at the top of my voice so came home with the cobwebs thoroughly blown away.
I've just put a sandwich cake in to bake so am just catching up before I have to take it out.0 -
Ooh, forgot to ask if anyone knows the cheapest place to buy those gel things to put in shoes?0
-
Oh I know what you mean, party feet?! I know they have them in topshop but prob cheaper somewhere like superdrug or wilko??0
