Thanks for your kind words and thoughts, girls. I really do appreciate every word. Mum had a stroke whilst we were away and further investigations revealed that she has terminal cancer...she is awake and alert but unable to make herself understood. I'm trying to be my usual over-the-top self whilst everyone else seems to be crumbling around me.
Hope everyone's okay and that you enjoyed the LostProphets last night, PF. It's dry and dull here but I can't seem to motivate myself to do a fat lot, I'm still lollong about in my blue satin kimono but I shall make an effort to look outrageous and loud for hospital visiting later..just how Mum likes it.
Vicki - Our 99p Stores sells decent footless tights in purple, brown and black. I bought a pair last summer and they're still going strong.0 -
Goan, sending an awful lot of love your way xx0

Goan, I'm really and truly so sorry to hear about this. You always described your mum so vividly and I imagine her like you - strong, vibrant, individual, unique.
Thinking of you. Definitely wear something outrageous and fabulous when visiting - I can't imagine it any other way! Lots of love xxxx0 -

Hello lovelies, remember me? Hope you're all well.
Got back from India just under 11 hours ago. Goa was as beautiful as always but whilst we were well into our second week I received the awful news that Mum had collapsed due to an undetected serious illness and despite our best efforts we were unable to get home any earlier due to the Icelandic earthquake. Needless to say the remainder of the trip has been a nightmare. We're off to the hospital shortly but the news is bleak and there's nothing anyone can do.
I will attempt to catch up with blogs and gossip over the weekend, I think I'll need some diversions over the coming weeks.
Goan
