I'm a 'billy no mates' when it comes to shopping :(

DDs think I've lost the plot and won't set foot in a CS unless it's to 'have a laugh'.

DH, well he's a man who has NO idea about clothes, to the point where I have to buy his clothes for him .

My best mate (who I've only known for a few months but we're a great team - hit it off instantly ) has a completely different style to me and would probably have a fit at some of the things I would point out :rotfl:. And my sister/female family members all live over 200 miles away so I don't have a choice but to shop on my own :(. All together now ......... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :rotfl:.

Seriously though, I do prefer shopping by myself as I can take my time, pick out hideous things that I like without being laughed at and meander around the mens section looking at the nice bums .......... (joke !!!!) :D

Right I suppose I'd better get dinner started.

Just wanted to say I have problems at Guides too (comment to the other Guide leader, sorry I'm carp with names, I'm learning them all though :o) - I think they sometimes forget we're only volunteers ! Keep thinking of the girls, that's what I do when I get moaned and groaned at from above :p.

Right, chicken and prawns and chilli rice coming up ...... sorry not enough for everyone :p
    :jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j

    hehe. me too!! ^^

still on the lookout for a dressmakers dummy.. but i have got a gorgeous toile de jouy (sp.??) room divider, which i love, but could definitely be placed to better use iykwim as it's currently in my bedroom, hiding hte computer desk, but that means it's not really seen..

We have about 7 at work but sadly I'm not allowed to give them away.

Where did you get your room divider from? I love pretty much anything toile de jouy.
  • Had some bad exam results back this afternoon :( Need to find something to cheer me up :(
  • I love taking people shopping - spending their money on them, but if I am shopping for me I like to go alone.

Stop talking about festivals - I love them but hubby won't camp, shame because he love music. I'm going to see Editors next month though - got to go to Brixton though as I'm on holiday when they play Brum.

Back from hairdressers, had 4 inches off!

    Marzipan- *hugs* I'm sorry hun.

Caroline- Yes, if people are spending money on themselves then I love shopping in a crowd, if it's me shopping for me I just cant do it. SO jealous your seeing the Editors, I haven't seen them for a few years now :(

it was from ebay, for a shocking amount, and when i got it, ex said he could have made me one - it's basically just a frame covered in fabric, which is just stapled on..
ah i'm dreaming of having a little garage type workshop where i can work on my furniture..apparently ex's brother has just given him a load of old furniture - desk and wooden chair and a chest of drawers, which he wanted rid of, so apparently i can have them if i want to paint them up etc.. which would be lovely if i didn't live on the thrid floor, and had somewhere to put them :S still working on the trolley work in progress lol

Can you not get a day ticket Caroline? I camped at Leeds Fest two years running and just went for the day last year, a bed was heaven!
If i'm feeling better by the summer I think i'll go for a weekend again.

I'm pretty good at going shopping for other people too. Money is so easy to spend when it isn't mine. And I love seeing people in things i've chosen. :)

apparently i'm a bad influence when i go shopping with others - i love to play style advisor and persuade them to spend..totally agree that is much easier to find things for other people/./

also, another weird thing, i hate the thought of festivals, although i love gigs..i've never been to one but the thought really doesn't appeal..i'm not sure it's the camping as i'm ahppy enough with guiude camps etc..and i love a lot of different music..dunno, guess i'm just a bit odd!

PF- I have a "waiting" list of people who want me to take them clothes shopping! :D

    I'm craving jellybeans,
I have none in the house. Bad times.
  • I used to go to Reading on day tickets when I lived down south, but we're not near anywhere decent, and the whole babysitter lark!

Last time I saw Editors I was 6 moths pregnant with Sam. He didn't like it one bit - think it was a bit noisy.
