I'm totally panicking, got a spa day next Sunday and I need a swimsuit, and an outfit to wear for the spa day, although I am aware well be in robes for most of the day. I'm still far bigger than the two girls I'm going with ;(
Well I went to one and I'm bigger than you. You girls told me to wear my pink glam-er ossis, not the black one as you felt the black would be less flattering. Your cossie gets hammers, and the steam spa rooms get hot...so nothing with a trendy metal buckle....why do they do that? Do they not think hot HOT plastic and metal can get in hot conditions? I had a friend who really burned her arm badly when she placed it on the buckle of her bikini pants. d'uh.
I also took a bottle of conditioner which I stuck in the dressing gown pocket and kept putting some in my hair: again, all that heat and moisture and chlorine seemed to me to be able to do a lot of damage, so instead, using conditioner I thought it might do some good. So I had my hair in a loose bun most of the time...no hair to hide behind though!
My opinion is, if you are going to get the most out of it you're going to look like a drowned rodent anyway after the firt steam/dip....so do it with gusto, and take something efortlessly glam to leave in instead!0 -
Hi Salaqui
I agree, you do look nice. I was just the same as you about wearing a skirt in the daytime - I felt too dressed up but now it feels natural. It's especially useful if it's raining because you don't get the bottom of your jeans/trousers wet!0 -
I'm having a day off from style: even eccentric style.
I'm dog walking this afternoon/evening, and I'm doing paperwork/phoning during the day...only going out for a supermarket run. My hair is a little lacklustre, it just needs wetting and styleing but don't want to this morning, so I've scraped it into a pony tail (the least flattering thing for me, makes my head long oddly oblong/boxy) and I'm wearing running leggings, as opposed to fashion ones, with a tunic top with a bleah stain and a tracksuit top.
May make up looks good though

Well, I'm feeling better now I'm made up and dressed. I found my MAC naval blue pigment, so inspired by that I've gone for blue attire.
Cream/navy chain print satiny dress: Happie loves it via ebay
Navy tights: DPs
Denim waistcoat: New Look via friend
Grey suede peep toe shoes boots: New Look
Dangly gold bow earrings: gift from a blogger
just going to upload photos now, Mum played garden photographer.0 -
Hehe daydreambeliever, I hate that feeling! Especially when you get home, take off your shoes, and promptly tread on the icky wet backs of your trousers, eww.
Well I've been out and come back (told you I didn't have to go out for long!) and it wasn't so bad, I didn't see anyone I knew though. You are right though Alex (think it was you who suggested taking photos), I look at the picture and I think 'oh that doesn't look too bad' I guess it gives you a more objective view of it.
Going to go and take it all off now though as I'm making pastry this afternoon, don't want to get stuff covered in flour! I really need to get an apron!
Lostinrates, that sounds painful! I guess it wouldn't occur to you though as it's just a decoration. My friend went on holiday a while back and went sunbathing wearing a metal hairband, she didn't feel anything at the time but at the end of the day realised that she had ended up with a painful burn across her scalp at the top, it had even got through her hair!
xThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...

Morning ladies

I'm slobbing out today - still havent got over having to get dressed up on Saturday :rotfl: thisi s how bad I'm getting - used to love getting dressed up but now when I have to I just think about how long it is until I can get back into my casual stuff!! Changing rooms at work are having work done on them at the minute so we have to walk through the ward in our normal clothes and its horrible - it feels like you're being scruitinised!
Am being defiant today
Cant be bothered about what everyone else thinks!
So todays outfit is:
Navy men's jogging bottoms (£5, Matalan Derby)
Navy and white Leicester Tigers training t-shirt (this is OH's. I bought it for him - £13 from the Cotton Traders shop but I love it so much I've pinched it!!!)
Navy and white striped hoodie (£15, Evans Leicester Xmas sale)
Pink and white striped socks with scottie dog pattern (£1, Evans Leicester sale)
Blue and white Adidas trainers (think Mum got me these)
No jewellery as usual but today's perfume is Next Just Pink.
Hope everyone's having a good day! xx*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200
