I also over empathise so when my friends are going through a rough patch it gets me down on their behalf.

I do this too vicki, it hits me hard when a friend has a major trauma. Sorry to hear about your friend, that's really sad.

    Aaarrggghhh!

Am having one of those moments! When I tried on my lovely Oasis shoes in the shop I used those very fine pop socks they supply. No I am a touch over a size 39, but 40 is a bit too big. Anyway foot slipped in nicely. Now, at home trying them on with bare feet, the foot isn't slipping in quite so easily:eek::eek:. Worse still, DD trotted over to L'pool One to change them this morning and no size 40 left. Chester have just sold their last size 40 and the Oasis concessions don't sell them.

I go away on Wed morning and the next-day delivery option isn't coming up online and even if it did I think I'm pushing my luck with bank holidays trying to order online.

Am just going to try them on again. I am always prepared to suffer slightly for my vanity, but am having an Ugly Sister/ Glass Slipper moment just now!! Wish me luck!!

I really hope they fit Bronnie, maybe your feet expanded temporarily. Was the house hot at the time?

medsdemon, if you don't want that Boden skirt I'll buy it off you! I'd have the M&S purple one too but since you love it I probably have no chance :) :rotfl:

tsabo, hope you feel better soon, poor thing xoxoxo

Hiya ladies, I have not posted on this thread for such a long time! I've not been on MSE much either lately.

Anyway, I have lost a stone and a half in weight over the last couple of months (SLIMMING WORLD) so I'm rediscovering some of my old clothes, which is good. I forgot I had most of them so it's like having new clothes all over again!

    Outfit today

Blue bootcut jeans - River Island (some smaller ones I have not been able to wear for years!)
Pink vest top with black spots on - New Look
Black boyfriend cardie - New Look
Black cowboy style boots when I went out but pink slipper boots now

Hope everyone is well. I'm really enjoying looking at all your sites for inspiration now I am a more "normal" size!

Hi and well done on the weight loss!!! :T

Morning all :easter_ba and a Happy Easter

DS's just finished their Easter Hunts, woke in a panic yesterday thinking it was sunday and I hadn't hidden the eggs, but got them hid last night phew!!!!!

Ben a bit awol lately- nothing to report on the clothing front, bit boring just jeans and jeggings, culling my wardrobe yet again as I have gone down a dress size due to weight loss- well done iceicebaby on your wight loss its a fab feeling isn't it. Saw a lovely FCUK denim biker jacket ina CS the other day but resisted it was 7.99 might go back but knowing my luck it'll be gone and I must admit, I don't really need anymore clothing:o

Retro - I'm forever putting things in my watching on ebay, then forget about them and they've gone for low prices - its so annoying, there were some lovely green tbar shoes the other day and they went for £2 could have kicked myself, but also just realised yesterday I won a coral cardi for 99p 2 days ago I had completely forgot about;)

Well must stop waffling and have a bath:D

    Happy Easter Lola (and everyone!)

    *sigh*
tired and tearful, I MUST put on my happy face before brother gets up
and well, I can't be miserable on his birthday.

fairly quiet day I think, I'm pretty much keeping out of the way, other than to be generally nice and spoil brother with birthday gifts, and parents with easter choc (bro of course as well!)
they are having a roast dinner at lunch time, but I've been excused and told to do my own thing as it's less stress for me, and for everyone else, and it is just less glaringly obvious if I'm not sat at the table.

this evening we're going round to grandparents for a snacky tea type thing, and again I've been told to do my own thing and take my own food.

everyone is being so nice and understanding and I can't help but feel I'm going to ruin the whole day for my brother.

Daisy you won't ruin anything, food is only a little part of the day when you think about it. Everyone else is obvioulsly cool with it.
