No, but it is near my parents. Will tell DH, he has a bit of a man crush too!0 -

and, although i've been veggie since i was about 13, it was never a moral thing, just a dislike of meat really..
I was a veggie for years from the age of 13, but since m diet was so poor I suffered with anemia almost constantly....the vegetarian products back then arent what they are now...I remember only being able to get that horrible dried veggie mince in a box- dunno what it was called....meatfeast (maybe not?)
I dont eat red meat now as I just dont like it, will have chicken if its ethically produced, same with eggs and will have dolphin friendly tuna, the rest is quorn, I could so easily become a veggie again and its something Ive been thinking about recently as I have a guilty conscience about it all.**"Yesterday is gone. i couldnt' eat red meat - don't think i've ever liked it, but the ex used to make me eat some chicken sometimes as a form of protein - my usual diet does suck, although i try to use quorn in some things, and do eat eggs..i may try to add a bit of tuna in the future..0

retro- I'm like you, in fact I don't really eat any meat at all right now, just fish as meat kills my digestion. Once I'm doing better I intend to incorporate vegetarian, vegan and meat based meals in to my diet as I'm generally really adventurous and love to cook from scratch
pf- how are you with beans and pulses? have you tried tofu?0 -
think i've had it in the past, but not often..
but beans / pulses are good..i like kidney beans in things, and incorporate broad beans into a lot of pasta dishes i cook..mainly because i have a bag of them in the freezer lol..0 -
Girls, we've got to stop talking about what we don't like eating...i tried so hard to hang on to porridge this morning...I think the metformin might have made me queasy, then all this talkabout food we don't like...it was a losing battle!
I LIKE cake, think about cake everybody...yum yum!
I'm going to get my self turning incubator later I think (Tara that means it turns the eggs for you, which I need with my memory) and I have no idea what I will wear...0 -
tinned mixed beans are fantastic, you can whack them on a salad or jacket potato...either plain or in some kind of sauce, lots of protein
I'm a tofu fantatic, though not so much at the moment, it's sadly off my "list"..seems like the things I love most are. But you can do so much with it...*loves it grilled and spread with marmite*0
