Rainy - sorry to hear about you rat (((hugs)))

Retro - Get yourself to the reduced section of the supermarket, I just filled my freezer with meat and stocked up on veg for the next couple of days!
Got a beef joint was £7.50 reduced to about £1.50
Pork joint for same sort of price.
stewing beef for about £1 for a big pack
    Posh bacon for 88p
    Posh Sausgaes for 90p

Also got a bag of avocados, pointy cabbages, baby new potatoes and some other bits for all 20 - 40p

"Being poor is not an excuse to eat junk" is my mantra! Not that there's anything wrong with beans on toast, just don't feel it has to be that way.

They had packs of ready to roast veg for just pence, I could have picked some up for you. xx

Wow that is quite some haul Vicki, the supermarkets here (all two of them) never reduce much at all.

haha thanks hun but I was joking about the beans (not the poor bit though unfortunately) I normally stock up on fruit and veg at Aldis the super 6 is the best thing ever as our Tescos never has anything reduced! Seriously never!

I have lots of stuff stocked up but Im terrible I will make lots of lovely soup for OH's lunch at work and the kids to have but wont have any myself lol

Oh I love the super 6, I get my milk in there too as its about £1.06 for 4 pints but the supermarkets charge £1.50, and we get through enough milk for that to make a big difference.
Glad you're not really on the beans, although they are very underrated IMO.
