    Afternoon!
The day at home didn't happen quite as planned as a friend demanded my company for breakfast in Wetherspoon's this morning - 3rd time this week, oops!

Goan - keep forgetting to say, my first car when I was 18 was a '68 Triumph Herald in a sort of grungy dark blue. It used to belong to my Grandad and I loved it, it got me all around the country a lot faster (and further!) than it was originally designed to! Unfortunately it had a disagreement with a hedge one dark night and the hedge won :-(

Magpye - I'm liking your music! It's funny, I can identify with some people's musical tastes and yet mine is so far ranging I can never quite pinpoint it. I find there's so much good music out there I can never choose which is why I tend to listen to the radio and ignore my big pile of vinyl and cds. I did try on my blog profile but when I read it back it just isn't right. I need to redo my profile actually one day when I have a lot of time!
Daisy here's my favourite 'happy' song (hope the link works), it's in Welsh and I've not much of a clue what it all means but it doesn't matter! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rn_JD0zGgUo

Hope you're feeling better soon Rainbow.

I think I mentioned on here that my daughter went for an interview in Manchester a week last Sunday - she's heard this morning that she got the job! She will officially be an overseas rep for Thomas Cook as from the 2nd May which is when she flies out to Majorca for training and is sent straight to resort from there - we don't yet know where she'll be based but I'm hoping it is somewhere cheaper than the Algarve which is where she worked before!

Well it appears the link worked - go me!
Should anyone be interested they have recently got a deal, started singing in English, released an (excellent) album and changed their name to Race Horses and are doing a tour at the moment, they are well worth checking out.

Mariel - Congratulations to your daughter. :j If I had my time over again I'd have been a holiday rep. Another ex-Triumph Herald owner, too! Great track, too.

I constantly trawl YouTube for vintage Bollywood hits, especially if my favourite dancer, Helen features in the video.

Retro - can you wear the flimsy number over leggings? I've laid down the gauntlet on your blog. You wanted a challenge, you've got one!

A point worth raising, having read Goan's blog, is that fakes ARE being clamped down on. I wouldn't risk anything I thought was a fake at an airport from now on....

Great find as it turns out...:)

Yep, Lost you're quite right. I've heard of lots of things get snatched and crushed at airports. As I was coming back from India my holdall was stuffed to the gills and I was wearing nearly everything I owned as I couldn't pack any more in the hold luggage. As I only paid 50p I wouldn't really have been heartbroken if it had been destroyed.

Smoking's illegal in Goa (but rarely enforced) but one year we saw a tourist get arrested for wearing a Marlboro baseball cap.

Mariel, I tend to just listen to what I like, and if it has great crashing guitar riffs in it somewhere, so much the better. Good on your daughter getting her job, too!

retro, Calvin Klein do an above the knee slip (very quick Google) but you're probably going to pay through the nose for one, can you not get a silk or satin babydoll nightie to wear underneath?

    Mariel - what good news!

Daisy - did it go ok?

I tried on a couple of things from the New Look sale but didn't really like anything enough to buy it. Shall be sensible and make do with all the lovely new stuff I have :)

Hurrah for sensible Alex! I saw loads of stuff that I half liked, but only one thing I loved enough to justify buying!

It went fine, I think...haha, my head is spinning and there's still a lot of waiting to do, but it was nice to have contact with someone.

Alex...goodness, the last pounds were ones that have really made a difference aren't they? I LOVE those belts! All of them.

The leaf necklace, I bought two, to make into earrings....I wear earrings everyday, and rarely necklaces nowadays. I keep thinking I should get a third in case I want to again, but I think I'd look to leafy...like wreath or a tree, with three so close together, so best not....I just find the whole gold leaf thing too funny not to be part of..(is yours silver coloured?)
