Afternoon, lovelies!
Just putting the finishing touches to my Glasto packing:
Psychedelic tunic, 3 1970's maxi dresses, 2 vintage minis, sequinned butterfly cape, fake fur jacket, mustard cape, Broderie Anglaise blouse, cut-off denim shorts, retro kaftan, bikini, bejewelled turban, floor length velvet waistcoat, straw hat, floppy felt hat, flamingo rain poncho and matching hat, sequin boob tube , thigh high socks, black leggings and a long sleeved top, cowboy boots, wellies and flip flops and a cartridge bag stuffed full of vintage sunnies, floral coronets, fabulous earrings, bangles, bhindis and pendants!! Phew, thank goodness for campervans!
Shall sort out some outrageous make-up later plus some tunes and reading matter.
I'm wearing a vintage maxi skirt (eBay)
Aubergine ribbed vest (TopShop via jumble sale)
Denim waistcoat
Leather flipflops (handmade in India)
plus the usual mix of bangles, rings and earrings.
PS Dad not too bad, thanks for asking, Jaq!!0 -
Hi everyone, not been posting for a while. Was a bit down with a pet's illness and subsequent demise. He was only a little fella, but we both moved out of my old life together and it was a bit tough having to come to terms with having him put to sleep. However, the Aussie has been brilliant and we had a lovely little funeral for him yesterday, which has really helped. I know there are many more important things in the world but Clint had been a bit of a 'constant' when everything else turned upside down.
Onwards and upwards though and very excited about going to California on FridayI'm being really inspired by people's blogs, so much more than I ever have with magazines. I'm rummaging more, thrifting more, customising more and mixing up stuff in ways I never would have thought of before. Haven't step foot in a high street shop for months now and am really starting to think I am looking like 'me'. So ta to all the lovely bloggers I follow on here and for introducing the whole thing to me in the first place.
Yesterday I wore:
Sundress (originally from Bay Trading years ago, but revamped by me with some black dylon)
over a beige lace and silk camisole (thrifted)
Beige wool hooded poncho (from ebay, but replaced the plastic buttons on it with some metal ones)
Black converse style boots (No Sweat)
Black and brown leather satchel bag (ebay)
Today:
Black harems (ebay)
white broiderie anglais top (M&S)
grey waistcoat (thrifted)
No shoes yet as I am working from home:beer:0 -
Hey Rainy!
Hope things are okay with you today, chick. It's so hard when a pet dies, you have my deepest sympathy.
How exciting about California. How long will you be away? Will you be blogging whilst you're out there?
Blogging has really helped me motivate myself. I'm a chronic starter of projects that get left on the back burner or abandoned in a fit of temper. By blogging about my intentions I feel I have to finish the task. Same with decorating.

Hi Rainy
So sorry to hear about Clint. How's your dress challenge going?
I know what you mean about blogging opening your eyes - I'm much more adventurous now than I was a few months ago. Ok, so I'm still not great at mixing and matching (don't think the wardrobe is big enough yet!) but I'm getting there.
Goan - sounds like a great list! When do you go?0
