Who is the cheapest directory enquiries service now the free phone number is gone .

not 118 188. I called them from my mobile, and it was £4!

I think 118226 is the cheapest now - BT charge a flat rate of 23.5p incl. VAT for that.

It's probably a single enquiry only though.

That's the cheapest I can find on the BT Price List anyway.

Strangely, 118226 (which appears to me to be cheapest at 23.5p fixed rate) is not mentioned on there.

if you use a bt payphone it is 50p a minute...............and you can only use theirs on it.

rip off, but then again so are payphones these days cost me £1.50 for a 2min call to get taxi number other nite as kept cutting me off and would not let me do a follow on call so lost remainder of money but in.

118226 is not on my orchid dialer software . Very strange !
