three letters from bank stalling - what to do
fframe
I have written to the bank to reclaim PPI stating I would contact the ombudsman after 8 weeks if I didn't get a satisfactory response. I have now had three letters from the bank saying 1) they got my letter 2) they are dealing with it 3) they are still dealing with it. They haven't offered any resolution - I haven't had a yes or a no.
I don't know what to do now - they did respond within 8 weeks (but the 8 week mark was 6th Feb). So, do I now threaten the ombudsman because so much time has passed? Or do I keep waiting !

It is up to you, they may be inundated at the moment and may just need another couple of weeks. It is better that you try to sort it out at bank level.
You could write and give them another week and say if you do not hear from them by a certain date that you will go to the FOS. Good Luck:mad:0
