yahoo toolbar wont go away

Since I installed yahoo messenger and even opted out of extras such as yahoo toolbar, it installed itself anyway.
I deleted it in add remove programs but it just keeps coming back on my Firefox browser and I cant seem to get rid of it.
Its not showing up in IE7 or Opera. has anyone any ideas how to get rid of it altogether

Someone ought to rap yahoos knuckles ofer this
I'ts very imposing. Any ideas who to complain to?

    Suggest you have a look here .....

    ...and check out the removal advice on the left hand side "Top Questions".

    As to your complaint ... if you did who would listen? I suppose you could try yahoo themselves but wouldn't hold out much hope.

    click on view at the top, then toolbars and untick yahoo toolbar

    in firefox...

    click tools-> extensions

    then click on yahoo and uninstall.

    If you are still having problem go into My Computer, click, C: drive, click Program Files, go into Yahoo folder and delete toolbar file
