Hi,
I'm currently in my first year at uni, i'm 22 years old. at the moment my loans/grants are based on my parents income as i technically live there, even though im only actually there once a month
in may i will be "officially" moving in with my partner, however i wont be going on the tenancy as the estate agents wont accept students. when i re-apply for my loans/grants for next year should they be now based on my partners income as they would see it as he is supporting me? my partners income will be less than my parents, is this the best thing to do? i'm confused

I'm afraid that you don't achieve independent student status just by moving in with someone.0 -
Must prove you were self-supporting for the 3 years prior to the first year of your course. Moving in does nothing whatsoever, except making you notice any bad habits more.0
