greenest/least toxic computer?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a laptop that is noted for being less toxic, in its materials, and fairly green (energy saving). I currently have a macbook which does its job, only they do get terribly hot.
I'm aware macs don't have pvc or bfrs, but they do have this smell in some of their products (adhesive probably), which I don't think is fairly green, and quite annoying. *google "mac smell" to know what i'm talking about. Also, much prefer linux over macs.
The Acer Timeline 3811TZ seems to be a good option. CULV and PVC and BFR free, but it has not gone into production yet, as Acer are still negotiating with retailers to see if anyone wants it.
In the meantime I am going to need a computer in the meantime. Budget is around £700, and I'll just be using it for usual internet browsing and some light movie watching. I also have a lot of photos I scan. The cooler and quieter it is the better. Fanless would also be great.

these seemed like good options, but they are powered by the atom processor, and something that it will be too slow. Very impressed that its fanless.

My opinion is, buy a Windows desktop computer and keep if for at least 5 years, maybe 7, carefully maintaining by replacing parts and reinstalling if needed. Or buy an ex-corporate refurb machine (which are often well designed and very repairable, eg Lenovo laptops) and again, keep as long as possible.
My empirical observation is that most people want to chuck out a PC after 3 years if any major fault, or even a virus, appears. THIS is the ungreen behaviour!0
