Bank account advice

Hi all,
My partner and I live together and have a joint mortgage and bills, i am still in full time education although she is working full time.
We are quite well fixed in terms of making the payments we require to make etc
We have now decided to start making overpayments on the mortgage.
We have a mix of different bank accounts and i was wanting to stream line these.
We both have bank accounts with ulster bank, halifax, i have accounts with the alliance and leister, leeds and holbeck and my partner has accounts with the abbey national also, all in all a huge array of different bank accounts.
I find it difficult to access some of these accounts online and would really like all are financial information to be readily available all on one screen so we could see exactly what surplus money we have and then see how much of an overpayment we could make on the mortgage.
Would it be foolish for myself and my partner to do all our banking with one bank? I just think it would be so much easier to know excatly were we are at financially.
Apologies for the long post any advice etc would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Jemma

This has to be a matter of personal choice, surely.
It seems to me, with such an array of bank accounts between you, that you are in the best position to decide which bank or banks meet your banking needs.
Compare notes and if you can't agree on which one to use jointly then keep your accounts separate.
Edit:
It is widely regarded as not being sensible to bank and save with the same institution. In case of financial difficulties, the bank may raid your savings to pay money you allegedly owe it.
.
Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
