White Mould under Carpet!!! Advice needed!!

Hi,
I am having wooden flooring put in in 10 days in my living room, I started lifting the edges and grippers today so I could prepare the skirting boards. Under the underlay was a layer of white mould on the floor underneath. i wiped it and then scrubbed it with a strong mould killer but would like any advice, the new flooring is all paid for and cannot afford any other work to be done. I have the fitter popping round to have a general look around but he is not aware of the mould.
