Okay all sorted - kind of,
spoke directly with the head yesterday, he was not happy about this and was straight on the phone to the LEA unfortunately they wouldnt budge apparently new legislation states that staff cannot be paid until all paperwork, including a crb is complete, so until mine comes through he (the school) has given me a cheque (sort of a loan) to cash until the coucil pay me properly, then i can write a cheque out to the school to pay the loan back.

He and the council have apologised profusley it was simply a mistake of communication between the school and the council before i started, the head has now said that they will definately learn from this so as to not make the same mistakke again.

Yay so relieved, i was so stressed out with all this at least now i can relax a little knowing that as soon as this crb comes though all will be back to normal,
