If the bike was four years at the back of your mate's garage, it obviously didn't bother him much. So why are you worried about it?
Me, if I was retiring next month I would be looking to simplify things and not make life more complicated. I would say -- come get your bike -- there's a £100 storage charge. If he paid, that would buy a few drinks at my retirement party. If he didn't want to pay, give it back to him anyway, forget about it and enjoy retirement.0 -
