Anyone give me advice on kitchen door replacement please

Hi, any advice welcome, I have a cheap B and Q kitchen fitted in a maple colour. I would like to do a refurb replacing the doors and worktops. My question is am I limited to getting another maple coloured kitchen as the sides and edges of the original carcasses are that colour or is there a way round it? I suppose painting is an option but not sure what it would look like. Is there a way round this without replacing the units. Many thanks

buy a trim in the colour of new doors - these can be cut to size and glued on.
  • concerned thanks for the reply but its the exposed sides of the cabinets that I am concerned about rather than the edging trim.

When you say 6the end of the cabinets, do you actually mean the carcass or do you mean an end panel? If its the latter, then the end panels can be changed relatively cheaply. Also the doors can be changed quitye cheaply. I've seen end of line doors at B&Q from £5 each.

  • phil, thanks for the reply but its actually the side of the carcass not an end panel unfortunately. Going to go to Howdens tomorrow and ask them. Cheers anyway
  • I did mine last year found Travis cheaper with their sale on
