Changed from f/t to p/t 2 years ago does this affect redundancy pay?

Hello all,

My sister is being made redundant next month after working for her employers for 5 and a half years. She changed from full time to part time hours 2 years ago when her daughter was born and was told by a colleague today that the company should calculate her redundancy based on 3.5 years at f/t and then the remainding 2 years at part time. Ive found information which is saying she will only get pay based on her current hours.

Can anyone shed any light on this for us - her union is not being at all helpful.

Thanks
:)

Statutory redundancy is capped at £380pw so does she earn over that part time? if not it will be her part time wage for all the years..

Does the company offer enhanced payments it will depend on that policy what they will pay.
