Bank Charges Court Guide discussion

  • I have just received out of the blue a small claims court date for next week for a claim I made in 2007. I was surprised to get the court date as the last I heard was that all court dates were on hold. I have read the guide and it seems that now I should contact the court to discontinue the claim (as I don't have time to do new legal arguments and I don't want any risk of losing). I then hope to contact the ombudsman. Is there anything else I should do? Also, do you think the bank going ahead with the court date because it is based on the old legal argument and they know they will win?

What do you plan to contact the ombudsman about?

Regarding the court claim, you started it, only you (or sometimes the court) can end it. The bank has no options in the matter.
