Must admit have no sympathy for anyone who 'invested' their savings in purchasing one of these homes...

I.e anyone purchasing it to rent it out and become a property millionaire.

Anyone who purchased as a FTB i feel sorry for... but i am assuming alot of people bought off plan to make a profit from rising house prices and someone else paying their mortgage... shame they thre away their money instad of making it.. but thats investment for you.

As a FTB house prices have rose and i've had to pay rent to greedy sobs like you guys before... and am glad some of them get their come uppance.

I love the paranoia in that anyone who doesn't agree that they should be able to break contract law gets branded as a representative despite having absolutely no VI.

I think their arguement is that GH didn't provide their side of the contract, rather than an attempt to break contract law.

It's less an argument than a get out excuse.

Especially seeing as not a single one of them bought it to the attention of the developers or even queried it before finding out they couldn't afford to buy the flats.

Even more so considering even if there were communal roof terraces, they still couldn't afford to buy the flats.
It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.

What I can't understand, is that these 'investors' even considered buying in Canning Town. The Docklands it 'aint, even though it's close by. I hope I'm not offending anyone, but having been there, and knowing people who used to live there, Canning Town is a crime ridden dump!

The state of the area is not the point. These flats were never for living in, they were for buying, selling and investing in.

Why don't the moderators just pull the offending postings and leave the rest of the very interesting thread for us to read???
I have noticed this on other threads I have been following.

You get what you pay for when it comes to moderators. Umm, how much are you paying, Knightstyle? Same here, so can't complain.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
  • I am very close to telling GH where to stick there flat. We agreed a figure & now they are charging % because we did not complete on time, even thou we were negotiating to their timeline.
Would love to contact some of the people who have been writing on this site on this subject.
How do we get out of this ?Any help in building a case to get out is appreciated.
