Kia servicing costs?

Options
Anyone here with a Kia who can give me an idea of the servicing costs? I'm considering getting a new Ceed. I'm guessing to get the full benefits of the 7 year warranty you would need to get it serviced at the main dealer. So I'm wondering how expensive they are over the 7 years. I phoned up one place in Plymouth and another in Newport and they said £250 - £300 for the 1st and 2nd years. Seems quite high to me.
The prices from this dealer I found on the website (no where near me though) look reasonable however...http://www.premier-car.co.uk/kia-servicing.html.

What do you pay or consider is a reasonable price for a service?

I wonder if the dealers you spoke to were being lazy and didn't check properly.
The prices you linked to seem more appropriate at a main dealer for the type of car your looking at.

I'm often amused by the reputation BMW's have for being expensive to service. In reality it's been £250 for the whole of the first 2 years inc. 2 year brake fluid change, about £250 year 3. Cheaper than a Kia and many others.

Remember price of servicing is related to propert prices in that particular area. Having said that thet do seem high.
  • Surprises me to how people have perceptions of how expensive dealer servicing is. Just had a VW service carried out on the Mrs Sharan - £89 including a stamp in the book, nice cup of coffee, and a "do you mind waiting for 10 minutes sir - the cars just going through the valeting bay for you"
  • I'd march up to the service desk at your nearest Kia dealer and ask them the servicing costs, i did exactly that before buying my Toyota pick up and the services are very slightly cheaper cos i'm a nice bloke..;)
  • Or, don't go to the dealer for servicing. Can't need a lot for the first and second services.

block exemption means any vat reg garage can service any car using suitable parts without affecting warranty,
as service prices i spent 2 years with nationwide fraudo centres they charged £210 for a full service parts only cost on average £20 nice mark up

As long as BER is renewed... looks promising tho, depends on euro commission.

Thanks for that Steve, I assume you are a representative of Kia, if so you will need to register as such on here.:)
