Programme Data for MCE 2005

Your help and advice please.

I cannot get any tv programme data (EPG) for my MCE 2005.

As far as I can see, this is not supplied 'over the air' and according to the Microsoft software was to be supplied by Broadcasting Dataservices Ltd (which, apparantly, use to be a subsiduary company of the BBC).

Does anyone know if it's still possible to get any data, and if so, how this is achieved.

Many thanks

This is just an update to say that I've now resolved the problem.

For anyone who has/will have the same problem, the answer lies in the fact that in MCE whereas the Freeview signal is transmitted over the air, the programme data i.e.the EPG isn't, and has to be downloaded from the internet.

This is not a problem in itself as MCE does this automatically, but unfortunately MCE doesn't always link the two pieces of information (channels received and the EPG) together - so this has to be done manually through the Settings programme in MCE.

In case it's of interest to anyone, Broadcasting Dataservices provide a free (written) listings service, the details of which can be found at:
