The MP's expense scandal obviously has been going on for many years.

The question everyone needs to ask.. is why was this information exposed to the public? and not kept a big Secret?

Maybe because now they can blackmail the MP's

"You better pass that legislation or we will expose in tomorrow's newspaper how much you really spent on your second home"

It was kept a 'secret' (your words), because the receipts were not disclosed under the Freedom of Information Act. The scandal is that it took so long for the truth to be revealed and fully substantiated, although as you have alluded to, the suspicions were widely known.

Blackmailing MPs has absolutely nothing to do with it!!

I'm saying there is a bigger reason why the info got out, it would be extremely easy for the government to have kept the scandal secret from the public.

As an investor, you know that any kind of investment opportunity has its risks, and investing in Stocks or Precious Metals is highly speculative. All of the content I post is for informational purposes only.

Even after all this time now, I STILL don't know a single person in my family of group of friends who has been effected by anything over the last couple of years. Honestly, I step away from these forums and it's life as usual, as it has always been.

Obviously others have been effected one way or another but in my world nothing has happened. I should probably stop concerning myself with it and just be normal.

This is abysmal, you should be ashamed of yourself for coming to the forum and writing this! After everything that's happened you don't know?

    ... it's affected.

I was in the Trafford Centre on saturday, I have to say it wasn't readily apparent that we are on the verge of a depression! People were happily spending lots of money and the place was as busy as I have ever seen it.

If you venture to the Trafford Centre on a Saturday then you are quite clearly in need of mental help. Asheron posts some wacky stuff, but I bet even he isn't deranged enough to visit the Trafford Centre on a Saturday...

I think everyone knows not to go to the Trafford Centre on a Saturday unless they really wanna stress out and play zig zag the constant mass of humans crossing your path at the same time game. I'm ok, I tend to involuntary kick out alot..
